Unfortunately, even physical game discs so often don’t contain the full game files and requires access to servers in order to download and access the game. No longer is buying physical the answer to the game preservation problem.

Perfect for those sorts of games. Previously the switch was my machine for those sorts of games, but waiting for a switch port ruled out or delayed a lot of games. So glad we have handheld PCs now.

It’s a great machine especially for playing chill indie games that you might not run on a desktop as well.

How good does Doom run! It is incredibly well optimised. My steam deck was getting a solid 60fps on medium settings from memory.
