I selfhost and cannot guarantee no down time. I have no idea why they applied. Kind of funny.
I closed registration on my instance for this exact reason. Worst case scenario it’s some spammer collecting logins.
Good idea. I have the standard admin approval on think. I will change it.
Yep. If you don’t want anyone else, just close the registrations.
If you self host, where do the comments you make on other post get stored.
Your comment is stored on my instance and yours. If you delete it it should be gone from both!
How do I delete your comment? I wanna delete other people’s comments!
Become a moderator and you can delete comments for everyone in your community. As an admin you can delete in every community from your instance.
You mean that for only a few thousand dollars, I could be @thefartographer@myf.art AND I could provide an unreliable server where instances and users will be randomly purged via script???
Yes :) and probably for only 50$. My instance is on a used Optiplex and a 10$ domain lol
Unfortunately, myf.art is going for $500/year
that’s a real shame
They’re stored on my server and federated then stored on every other server :) where specifically? Idk maybe the Postgres container?
