There is MoltenVK for running Vulkan apps on macOS, and also Asahi Linux has a standards-compliant Vulkan implementation natively

I really wish the hardware was open to Linux, because my gen 3 iPad sits in a desk drawer and reminds me to abstain from buying any apple devices until a hackable exploit is discovered to enable alternate repos and binaries not locked into Apple’s walled garden

I wish the EU would pass a law making it so that all devices must be unlocked once they stop receiving software updates. How many perfectly usable devices are forced to fall by the wayside because the last supported OS can’t do anything useful. I would love to see a version of Linux running on old iPad hardware.

Considering the PS4 portable that was posted recently and that the m4 mini’s size I don’t think it would be difficult to shove one into a small case with a battery. The selection is the issue as running most anything will require emulation until Win on ARM becomes more supported by developers.

Imagine Apple putting in the work Valve or in to make Linux great except for themselves.

LMAO jk. They’re gonna just keep marking up for their brainwashed customer base.
