best thing i did on reddit was leaving and coming to lemmy.

mine is mostly facebook with the whatsapp telemetry domain.

AND all the other alternative ones whatsapp keeps trying to contact when i block the others.

but then again its one of the few proprietary apps i use excluding games.

heroic launcher works well as a replacement if you must. it works like steam in that it has built in proton to run the games you have with one click ease.

so if you want to run linux but have games on epic? there are better choices but you’re still covered.

for my mundane tasks, i don’t notice much complication. what makes it more complicated to work with?

speeduino. the solution to do engine control in a foss way is speeduino.

its a lot of work retuning it though. only really worth it if you are modding it in the first place.

yeah thats what i figure. lemmy will really need to figure out a solution to bots and astroturfing as soon as it reaches critical mass though.

well yeah, if we were organized in collectives and unions to actually push for better policy, it wouldn’t be as much of a problem.
