I know what you mean, especially news. I mostly do /all and it’s easily a problem there too. I think, possibly down the line, there might be a way to aggregate identical or similar posts, client side.
Shitposter while I tend to two babies. Maybe when I have my life back, I’ll help us get a few more niche communities back?

I’ve got these emails before, almost exactly like this. I have a PhD, but sure, I guess I’m qualified for this too.
I do miss Windows 95 sometimes…
I also can’t figure out spoiler tags, but yup, and during certain spoiler-tag worthy moments you also are missing someone or two, and Roxas eats alone. It’s kind of an interesting structure, especially for a game that was meant to be played with friends and especially for folks going through a confusing time in their life like a middle schooler.
But also you get to play as literally everyone, including their unique weapons. Ever see Donald glide? It’s truly a sight.
I saw the original comment and honestly, if your only exposure was the HD cutscenes, it’s like… 95% eating ice cream scenes. It paces a lot better when you’re actually, you know, fighting shit. Lol
Wimdows 11 broke my laptop’s built in screen support, so it’s long overdue for a Linux upgrade. I just can’t decide which-- I like what Steam did with Arch, but I tried Manjaro and it was kind of ok until I borked it messing around as one does. Once I can decide a distro though, fuck Windows.
I just beat Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and they said it was long and tedious but I really enjoyed it. It’s a lot darker than the other games and had the potential to be my second favorite after 2 had they remade it (and maybe favorite if they kept multiplayer and revamped it to allow it in story mode). Just watching the “HD” cutscenes reminded me just how much of a missed opportunity that was.
The better answers in these comments already explain the main reason the answer is no, but I want to add how impractical it is given the purple reality of most communities.
In my townhome community, there are about 33-33-33 split between Harris, Trump, and unvoting across 17 units (most unvoting being green cards like my wife). If Trump straight up announced a civil war, would my neighbor go to war with me? Extremely unlikely, especially since one of the Trumpsters adore my kids and would probably shut down anyone trying shit.
I think most modern day civil wars are military coops, and that just isn’t happening here. You might see some militia and unrest, maybe another Jan 6, but that’s not the same as a real civil war.
This is very… upsetting.
My mom still goes there but only picks things up when it’s the right “color” if the day, for the 50% off. The fact that she won’t get things that aren’t in sale at a thrift store should be enough evidence to know it’s not really thrifty.
I hate to admit doing it multiple times, including in my 30s, haha. But it’s a long and tedious achievement. The trick to doing it at our age is a good podcast to keep the mind busy!
I’m going to give you an evil answer and say Final Fantasy X. Are you ready to dodge 200 lightning bolts?
Whenever it rains, I still hum that tune. Gives a certain mood to it all.
A little harder to do than I’d like with my thumb only using the phone. If anyone wants to take that my vision to life, make a Cerberus duck throwing up!
Now do SA2!
Edit: or what 12 year old me did after winning and play the music from the sound test menu.
Actually, hijacking comments for a question; I’m thinking of playing MGS all the way through for the that time. Should I do PC version of PSX or emulated GameCube twin snakes version (or emulated PSX?).
RetroAchievements recently released an achievement set for the GameCube version, so all three check the metagaming box for me. Is Twin Snakes the best or is it lacking anything major?
There’s a very very interesting story about nesticle but unfortunately I’ve forgotten it. Some kind of drama, a bit edge lord stuff, and I think someone died? It’s actually one of the first emulators, ever, though.
It was a very niche community back then though, long before IGN caught wind. Weird I only found out because of a crazy conspiracy theory uncle, though. Thanks for reminding me about UltraHLE, though!
As with Yuzu, I won’t be buying any more switch games. I’ll still be playing switch games, and so will my friends, but we won’t my buying them.
Honestly, I’ve lived watching emulators for decades. They can come and go and there’s always more, even ones that aren’t forks. Just today I was reminiscing on my first emulators, zsnes, no$gmb and nesticle. Y’all remember the peaceful zsnes snowfall? Good times.
That was technically my thinking too, haha. If you’re ever targeted by this (and it can be as simple as having a Google image placeholder in an unindexed page) you just need to be stubborn and spiteful. It’s not worth their time with so many other patsies, haha.
Starting it strong, I see. Nice job Squids!
