Aww mint, you never forget your first, it’s a bit mundane for me now, these days if it hasn’t taken of its desktop and said sudo me harder daddy 3 seconds after It posts I move on to the next young model.
Learn NGINX that is the only answer, it’s a B!+€# to get configured but once you know how it will save you so much time, If you want cheat mode run the docker image and use the web interface but make sure to rtfm there are some gotch ya’s
Must be a design flaw, maybe you should try a refund.
Wouldn’t you want something purpose built for it? Like a Panasonic Toughbook or an Intel 10850k?
Lol, I have a NTFS drive in a Linux container so I didn’t have to re download everything I had on windows works perfectly fine, now I’m assuming if I ever try to move it back to windows something horrible will break.
But why though? Do you really want a bunch of file.txt File.txt FILE.txt fIle.txt FiLe.txt FIle.txt flIe.txt… I once had a nasty bug the O in a file name was a 0 and I didn’t notice I can’t imagine the horrors this would cause.
It’s Been 5 Years.

IRON MAN dies dude….
It’s not windows.
I won’t waste to much time on a generated question but businesses become monopolies by being better than others or one of the ones would have became the monopoly then when they have no competition they can get as bad as they like(NOTE: better doesn’t necessarily mean better for you it could mean better at collecting payments or better at logistics but better nonetheless)
And the fact of the matter is nobody likes competition so they all try too work around it.
You’re right it’s not a Linux problem but it is a problem more to the point it’s our problem and anyone who would want to switch
Cold hard fact is that people just do not care what causes the problem and people do not care if something is %1 worse or %1000 worse they will always pick the one slightly better that’s why monopoly’s are an inherent part of nature eventually competition is unviable.
The only hope is that either Linux crosses the critical threshold of being slightly better than Windows or windows gets so invasive and counterintuitive that even normies can’t use it for productivity
I use Linux all the time I have three physical servers running probably 20 or 30 VM’s and containers but even I am hesitant to switch my gaming Pc because even though I can play everything I want now what if tomorrow something comes out I really want to play but it’s locked down to windows?
Oops
Interesting, but incorrect
Assuming %0.2 Tax:
A $50 HDD would cost : $60
A $150 HDD would cost:
$180
With a difference of $160
Also reliability is basically the only thing that matters in an HDD if you are going for speed get an SSD
while True(): youtube.background.play( video=rick_astly_nggyu, exclusive_ads_mode = true, audio=mute )
I personally use it to run a headless docker on fedora 40 server with containers holding jellyfin, filebrowser, pia, qBittorrent a desktop in noVNC a pfsense server, and probably some stuff I forgot.
Why is that not a standard use case?
But in all seriousness I guess I get your point.
The more time I spend with Linux the more I realize that Distro doesn’t matter, GUI doesn’t matter, experience doesn’t matter.
Distro doesn’t matter because you will inevitably come across something that you need that doesn’t work on your distribution.
GUI doesn’t matter because no matter what you do you will %100 have to use the terminal and if you can do it once you can do it again.
Experience doesn’t matter because if you’re inexperienced you have to go outside your Comfort zone, if you’re experienced you got there because you like going outside your comfort zone and you will constantly stay in that state.
Developer: THATS IT WE’RE A BROWSER BASED APP NOW!
End user: why can’t I run this on my AOL account?
Just like everyone always says Dog man’s worst enemy.
IDK man, I was sticking with windows strictly for gaming purposes but ever since I got my steam deck I haven’t had a single problem and any inconvenience is grossly outweighed by windows GD updates and halting the entire system to show an ad… on my $150 copy of windows…. I’m not saying every game will play that’s just objectively wrong but I am saying you either won’t notice or will easily find something that does work, also I don’t think people pay attention to how much tinkering it takes to get older windows games to work.
Certain unnamed companies coughgoogle doesn’t like to trust Let Encrypt its definitely not an abuse of an illegal monopoly they have good reasons I promise.
But the whole point behind using a signed certificate is that other people can look at you and immediately know you are who you say you are if a company doesn’t trust you it doesn’t really matter what the motivation is you might as well use a self signed certificate.
Paid certificates have the money to make sure everyone trusts them and has a reputation to maintain so are more likely to defend a legitimate complaint.
99.999% of individuals it simply doesn’t matter(although you might have to look into it if you’re using android apps) but to a company the little bit that certification costs is worth every penny.
