Idk about bash but at least in fish I can do alt + arrows to move the cursor by word, also alt + backspace works to delete whole words.

Btrfs, because of compression. And I’ve never had any issues with it.

If I have a nice FOSS alternative that will fulfill my needs, then I will always prioritize FOSS. If not, then I pirate the proprietary option.
