Reporting typically works best👍
tbh I’m assuming they’re not paid for their ‘reviews’ as their work is a complete joke in which is ridiculed worldwide
Although I wouldn’t be shocked to hear if someone said that they were being sponsored by republican extremists
While I think that userbenchmark needs to find a better hobby, I’d like to ask everyone to refrain from making suicide jokes
no idea
Steve from GN and their team re-ran their tests multiple times and cross-verified with 2 other reviewers as they were also in disbelief/sketched out(I’m inferring their reactions here) by the results.
So at this point it’s hard to say what’s causing the significant performance uplift.
It could be due to something in the cpu like the relocation of 3D v-cache, the larger cache buffer but unless we see other reviewers provide test details with some differences it’s difficult to say what exactly is causing this beneficial uplift.
One ridiculous outlier is Baldur’s Gate 3 on the 9800X3D with a 26.9% performance gain over the 7800X3D. Truly ridiculous
just wanted to also provide an alt video link to the hack that occurred for anyone that has Ublock Origin or Privacy Badger enabled:
hmm they claim it’s open source but their repo:
This organization has no public repositories.
I’d advise against preordering unless you understand and you’re ok with taking the leap of faith that is tied with preorders~

If I see a new community or post that I feel should’ve gained a higher number of subscribers/votes I tend to check if it’s been federated or not
and if the community hasn’t I tend to queue it up as a habit🤗
ah in that case I’d recommend linking to this post as a comment onto the second Github Issue link I shared above as it seems to be a replication of sallyFoster’s reported bug👍
Displaying profile bios more prominently and encouraging the display of them would help everyone know if the user shared links to their other accounts or other SNS links and whatnot
This would also help fellow moderators and admins know if the newly created user is a real admin/mod that created a duplicate account or is just an impersonator
I personally like distributing my posts between instances that I feel are trustworthy as it provides backup instances (thereby increasing the bus factor) which should cover the unfortunate situation of an instance shutting down.
Since we’re all federated I’m no longer forced to put all my eggs into 1 basket like reddit🤗
hmm another way of looking at this is that:
You’ve inserted coins into the vending machine (entered ban descriptions and other inputs) but after pressing the juice button, the vending machine doesn’t dispense your drink but it displays “Drink dispensing in progress” (the drink buttons and display works but there’s a gap/shortcircuit between the display and the dispensing arm (the dispensing arm being the instance for this situation)
So the problem might be on:
or it could even be a mix of both (¿Por qué no los dos?), hard to know till someone tests all possibilities
huh that IS odd🤔
Without knowing how the underlying app’s systems work:
My guess is that the app might be acknowledging the ban request as a confirmation that the request was sent (button pressed? yes: Display “Ban Confirmed”) but wasn’t verified/validated that the request was indeed successfully accepted on the instance’s side
Before attempting the test I found:
After doing a ban test on a new user account it succeeds (on Programming.dev anyways) although the ban function is currently only available for community-based bans as asked/detailed by SockPls on Github.
I’m currently unsure about the unlisted modlogs error, unfortunately this might be an instance related issue that you might want to test by creating a test user account
Hope this helps a bit though!🤗
I ususally use the web interface to manage moderation but I’ll give this a go and make a new comment on this post with my findings🤗
Thanks for commenting your interest about the lawsuit!🤗
Your comment motivated me enough to get off my ass and find this:
INVESTIGATION ALERT: Levi & Korsinsky, LLP Investigates Ubisoft (EPA:UBI) Video Game Purchases
Levi & Korsinsky, LLP is investigating whether affected customers are entitled to compensation. If you made a purchase on the Ubisoft website, you may be entitled to compensation. There is no cost or obligation to participate. Follow the link below to find out:
With the lawyers themselves demonstrating the PII exposure😂, this looks like a slam dunk on the class action against Ubisoft, so if you’re in America I’d recommend joining in if you’ve bought or used any Ubisoft related products/services
If you want to prioritize privacy I’d personally recommend SearXNG as it’s an open source search aggregator:
