I keep my hands on my laptop and use my thumb on the track pad. My hands don’t leave the keyboard. I actually never use extra mice or extra keyboards.
My professor was always trying to get us to use vim or eMacs over an IDE to write our C programs. I’m sorry, I like using a mouse. I know, I know, blasphemy. I’m taking a shortcut. I’m a noob.
When I absolutely have to, I go for vim, mostly because I know a few of the key bindings for it, but otherwise avoid it.
What monitor is this?

As a Mac user, I haven’t used windows in years, and avoid it like the plague. But, the limited games support meant I had to rely on consoles to get my gaming fix. With Steam’s strong support for Linux, I decided to build a gaming PC for Linux only. It’s been great. I just wish more publishers would support it — the ones adding kernel-level anti-cheat are ruining things, but I’m hoping if enough people switch to Linux, they won’t be able to ignore us.

Same — everyone has so many memories of that game. For me, it reminds me of playing games with my brother, he would read the prima strategy guide and help me get through the dungeons. My father bought ocarina of time for us both for Christmas. We got drawn in to the magic of that game for several months after.

It’s not something they’ve necessarily carried in to the other games, but it really just added to the realism of the battles because you felt like you were one guy in a larger conflict. Medal of Honor was always a bit more solo focused, with a few exceptions, like you were one soldier taking on the whole German army.
Both were great though and I played the hell out of them.

The innovation of the first call of duty was that you fought with a squad and it really added to the realism.

I left around 2017 when it was clear that it was ruining family relationships through propaganda from Cambridge Analytica and manipulation from Russia over the election.
This was after years of being annoyed at the changes to the platform, which ignored privacy and were user hostile.
By the time I left I had removed the app from my phone years earlier and had an arms length relationship to it.

In fact, two named plaintiffs were still on the 5GB tier. The judges added that customers have the option to turn off iCloud at any time.
The problem is the people who use the library don’t have access to the money. They’re just some dev trying to build something and your library is one of their 500 dependencies. The idea of needing to pay for a license means they have to stop building and get other people involved who may or may not approve, which may not be an option if they have a deadline. They will probably just try to find some work around to avoid this.
I wonder if a better approach is to move hundreds of libraries into some kind of joint bundle (a humble bundle). Let companies buy access to them all with one procurement, and also you’ll have more negotiating power and pull if you have a bigger group.
