I have one colleague who does it and they work in HR. No one else does that shit.

I made the argument that it’s expensive but it was more based on the idea that I can get a cheapo used console with a few games and that’ll do me for a whole generation. That and I think that PC gaming has a deeper void to get sucked into (mainly keyboards and monitors)

But now a couple weeks later and I realize that I really enjoy my crappy business desktop PC and I could see building a PC in the future.

They each have their advantages. When I go to a friends house we play console. At home I’d rather play PC, if I had the choice.

Could it handle doing that all day? That would so cool, but aren’t there thermal limitations?

I would shocked if apple tried breaking into console wars.

I’ll even be surprised if any of the handhelds other than steamdeck + switch survive the decade.

This doesn’t work nearly as well as it did in the past. I don’t know the story behind 12ft, but they seem to be complying with any site which has requested it to not work on their articles.

Did this game focus on anything in particular and do that well? Exploring isn’t it.

I’m tired of being negative gamer. This game looks fun even if it isn’t mind blowing, but seeing as I’ve never played a Bethesda game I think I’m just as likely to play one of the older games because they look about as good.

I’d say just smaller, less scripted content. Maybe that’s what tiktok is.

Damn 19C! My apartment is 24 right now and it feels cozy. When I bake it gets to 27. Without heat in the winter it hovers around 16 inside.

I’d consider going somewhere with more extreme day/night cycles like the Northwest territories, but within Canada I’m basically happy where I am. I like the super long days in the summer and I’m also ok living in the dark most of the winter as long as I can stay active.

Work shouldn’t be the primary source of stress in our lives no matter what the job is.

I think this debate can get lost in the numbers when it’s more about the user. For some people that upfront cost is going to make sense, for others it won’t. The math isn’t the hard part. Specifically though, a PC hobby isn’t exactly a cheap hobby.

I don’t think it was a choice. Xbox did it first and that’s why I bought a ps3. Then sony introduced it. Then nintendo. It’s still less expensive than a PC hobby. Consumers don’t have much say in what these companies do or how they operate.
