If speed running counts I was once top 10 in the world for speed running a puzzle game. Since then I’ve dropped into the 20s and the video has been lost

The only reason I listen to Film Reroll is because it’s about movies. I don’t even listen to all of them, just movies I know will be fun/I’ve seen. Fifth Element, Mighty Ducks, Aliens, Last Action Hero, and Memento (which was incredibly cool how they did it) are the ones I’ve listened to since 2020.
Something about actual play just irritates me, especially for D&D. I’d just rather play myself
I’m fully in the Nick Weiger podcast universe so I listen to:
Which are all comedy podcasts with similar people appearing. They’re about chain restaurants, random side bullshit, Video Games, and Anime respectively. Then I also listen to:
Which is a podcast by 2 former cracked writers which is the only reason people listen to them and a podcast about playing through movies as role playing games
Oh man, that answers some questions I’ve had for a while. Some of the podcasts I listened to have custom ad reads and then some will just blast the same ad as another unrelated one. Especially considering I get republican ads on podcasts with very liberal hosts. Plus gambling ads fucking everywhere
At one point when Republicans did their latest shitty thing to trans people the Wachowskis decided to auction off a bunch of props/awards/memorabilia to fundraise for a charity and I won one of the lots with this in it. Amongst other awards
I’d probably bring this. It’s the actual award that the Movie V for Vendetta won for being certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes
Please don’t. This subreddit exists to repost content and it does it by referencing a show older than most of its users. We don’t need to bring this low quality content to lemmy
I would like to remind people that this is corpo speak. This is likely counting mobile shovelware monopoly, my little pony, trivial pursuit, clue, etc stuff. Plus there’s Transformers and we don’t know if they count only their own games or do they count something like the Fortnite crossover as a video game project? Hell I can name 4 active magic the gathering video games off the top of my head. It’s entirely possible they count certain magic expansions as their own thing if they’re complex enough (MH3, Assassin’s Creed, Final Fantasy)
My point is that this doesn’t say anything of substance, don’t read it as a reaction to anything in particular
For what it’s worth I had it too and while I liked peach much more I remember blue as a cream soda variant. So maybe try some of those and see how close they are
I’m curious what the market for a a bright and cheery souls-like game is. On one hand it seems like people really like the dark and oppressive atmosphere of those games but on the other all of the best ones are made by fromsoft and that’s just their MO. Lies of P had some success and it was walking that line. I guess we’ll have to see how this does
I’ve seen both The Symphony of the Goddess (Zelda) and Distant Worlds (Final Fantasy) live and both were excellent. This should be a treat for people who like this music
Oh shit! I loved Recettear! I think it’d be a perfect steam deck game but I highly doubt they’ll do the work to make it functional
I actually speed ran some of the tutorial. Turns out you don’t actually need all that much out of the 2nd grade level. Makes the college stage a little trickier because people unlock drinking before you but otherwise it was helpful
Yeah, it’s available on basically every video game platform. This will likely be the only way to play it on mobile though. It’s an amazing game. I’d highly recommend it
Interesting suggestion. I’ll check that out next time I’m there, thanks!
I’ve been on a goat cheese kick recently. It’s really good but also very expensive
Sure, but we’re all people posting on Fediverse content. We are not the vast majority of the population. My advise is to help make this dude as generally appealing as possible. We should not pretend we’re the average people on these apps
That’s all pretty close to what I’d say. It’s not a popular show amongst women and trying to explain “No, Dan Harmon wrote some really poignant critiques about modern pop culture” is a losing battle when what everyone knows about the show is screaming Szechuan Sauce losers, Justin Roiland’s general sex pest attitude, and generally gross content (including pedophile rape!) Don’t start dating someone by justifying something they dislike, just sell the good parts about yourself
Are there women who like Rick and Morty? Of course. If you’re on a dating app it’s all a numbers game and Rick and Morty is one of the easiest ways to get the largest amount of women to immediately dismiss you. I would struggle to find someone who suggests associating yourself with it to increase your chances at going on a date. OP is asking Lemmy for dating profile tips, so I feel you need to make certain things very clear about how to succeed
Despite never owning one (we were a Nintendo house) I’d argue it’s the PS2. An easy thing to forget is that the PS2 was one of the cheapest DVD players for a very long time and that got video games into a lot of houses that wouldn’t have had them. Add to that some of the best games of tent pole franchises GTA3, FFX and FFXII, Kingdom Hearts, God of War, MGS3, Guitar Hero, and Tony Hawk. That generation also cemented the twin stick controller design as the standard. I really think the PS2 defined the rubric for consoles to come
JK, it’s the Wii. I helped install one in a nursing home when it came out, what other video game console had that kind of appeal? /s (but only kinda)
