Most have four buttons on the left and four on the right. The second or third button on the right side has been the mute button on every system I’ve tried.

we’re at a point in labor dynamics where they need employees more than we need employers.
What makes your say that?
krashmo@lemmy.worldto Programmer Humor@programming.dev•Interviews as seen by HR and the candidate4·29 days agoSure, but most of the time you don’t have a lot of time to shop around for a job you like. You have to pay rent and “we didn’t vibe well” is not an acceptable reason to give your dependents when they ask why you didn’t take a job and are now being evicted.
Well, that’s not going to happen if everyone stays hidden until it’s safe to come out
What are you scared of? There’s more of us than there are of them. Hiding in the shadows, too afraid to act is how they win. Be loud and deliberate in voicing your opposition. If they’re coming for you anyway you may as well face it head on.
I don’t have time to read this currently but I will try to later. In the meantime, does anyone know how they are coercing access to these devices? I’ve done a fair amount of international travel and no one has ever asked about any of my devices, much less attempted to gain access to them. It’s my understanding that if you refuse them there’s no legal reason they could refuse you entry.
Obviously, legality is of less concern to this administration but these people should have legal recourse, at least until the facade of civility is completely cast aside.
If a small, one time pop-up designed to solve your problem makes you give up on solving your problem then you were never going to solve that problem.
Congrats, you just made the argument for abandoning these platforms and the excuse for not doing so in the same post.

One idea is rooted in scientific research and the other is rooted in racism and bigotry. If those two things seem equal to you then you’re not paying as much attention as you think you are.
It’s pretty rare for even entirely innocuous comments to have zero downvotes. It doesn’t bother me but it is funny the things that some people will choose to get upset about.

krashmo@lemmy.worldto RetroGaming@lemmy.world•Nintendo Targets YouTube Accounts Showing Emulated GamesEnglish325·9 months agoIs that surprising to anyone? The specific grounds they’ve chosen for that lawsuit is odd but if any of their legal battles have merit its that one. Palworld is intentionally toeing the line between derivative and blatant ripoff.
I’m not saying it’s not possible that the Sims franchise has gotten worse. I’m just saying that lots of people would have described every Sims game in the same terms OP did. I’m also saying that your tastes and preferences can change over time. It’s possible, but certainly not the only option, that these two things are more true than it is that Sims is getting worse.
There’s nothing fun about the game, and you see people streaming it, it’s just building. That’s all they are ever doing. Just building crap.
To be fair, that’s always been a reasonable description of games like Sims, Minecraft, and most other simulation style games, depending on personal preference. Maybe the fact that you’re choosing to use it now means you aren’t as interested in that style of game, or even video games in general, as you used to be. Maybe not, but I think it’s worth considering at least.
What kind of resources does this guy have? I don’t think governments can even do proportional and instantaneous DDOS responses. I messed with the wrong dude.
True but if we suddenly invent an AI that can replace most jobs I think the rich have more to worry about than we do.
In what way is presenting factually incorrect information as if it’s true not a bad thing?
If a deity exists, he probably says the same thing about humans. Both are annoying to a more advanced being for similar reasons.
