If they do, that means they don’t take design seriously
The diploma mill MBAs that run the place don’t know (or care) what good design is.
They only know how to look at business costs as “cutting into our profit”.

That’s so bizarre.
In my country, only police can look up a licence plate, and only on official business - cops have lost their jobs for looking up friends, family and ex-girlfriend’s licenses.
Though now I realize you actually have to get referred by one of the other members in order to start posting
That is done with the intention of keeping the quality of content high.
I doubt they want to get flooded with low effort “let’s play” gamers or even lower effort AI voiceover stock footage crap.
Lightburn for controlling laser engravers.
It’s pretty much the only choice on Linux (though it is cross platform). Free 30 day trial, then ~$80 lifetime licence.
The other choice is LaserGRBL, which is open source, but doesn’t seem to have a Linux port for some reason. And it has a lot fewer features, with a more complex workflow.
Assuming it works the way Google says it does,
There was a time when I trusted Google to be open and honest.
But that time is long in the past.
Want to go farther? Fine! DC fast charging is, in fact, fast
Sure, but those need to exist at the appropriate locations, and be maintained in working order - neither of which is the current reality in a lot of places.
Add to that the lack of availability of affordable EVs and you are going to have the slow adoption we currently see.
.
I was planning to get an EV of some sort the last time my vehicle needed to be replaced, but there were none available at the time that fit my budget and my needs.
I still intend to have one relatively soon, but the practical realities are still an impediment.
Look at the date of the linked RFC documents…
Anyone who is trying to make money from their videos isn’t likely to have any incentive to be on Odysee, unless thay start paying for views with something other than their useless in-house crypto.
Plus, the audience on Odysee is miniscule compared to pretty much any other video platform.
they turn around and lock all but the most basic features behind a pay wall.
To be fair, that was forced by the music industry.
If they didn’t licence the tabs and come up with a payment system they were going to be sued into oblivion.
Exactly. If you want to live on the bleeding edge, you have to accept that there will be risks.
Nobody should be running their main/only/mission critical machine on an unstable branch of any software.
It’s literally in the name unstable.
and that every church should house two homeless people
Not even directly house. Even helping support those 2 people would go a long way toward demonstrating that churches actually do some good.
until we actually hold these giant companies accountable
Got any practical method of doing that?
Fuck off with the tipping bullshit already.
Pay your damn staff properly and stop trying to guilt your customers into subsidizing your cheapness.
One of the reasons I am on Lemmy is to get away from all the bullshit Reddit drama and infighting…
Updates forced at inconvenient (or inapropriate) times aren’t a good thing though.
Don’t interrupt my work right bloody now.
You can update later when I’m done doing what I’m in the middle of.
Or maybe for identifying when it fails
That’s it exactly.
It’s not hard to detect when the standard includes the phone indicating what it’s doing to the carrier.
Thank you. I’ll keep that advice in mind when I get brave enough to try again.
The schematics are no problem for me, I’ve been drawing those by hand since the '80s.
It’s the steps between that and generating the Gerbers that mess up my mind.
Parents could not upload pictures of their kids everywhere in a vain attempt to attract attention to themselves?
That would be good.
