Or AAC/ALAC, in Apple’s case.

Synecdoche.
My fave album by her is Pang, but Desire, I Want to Turn Into You is also incredible.
Caroline Polachek.
How is the local stuff backdoored?
A lot of Siri requests are processed locally, to be fair. And iCloud has encryption now.
Luckily they last a super long time with regular software updates and security patches!
Is it walled, though? What am I missing? I use Firefox now and then and don’t see anything other than uBlock origin that I’m missing out on (and I much prefer using NextDNS globally on my systems). In fact, I prefer a lot of the Safari extensions. Gotta love the “it just works” part of stock apps. Can’t say the same for Firefox…
Huh? I fucking love Safari. Clean layout, integrates with iCloud passwords & OTP (while also cleaning up OTP codes from SMS and Mail.app afterwards), tons of extensions, doesn’t drain the battery on my aging MacBook Pro, supports Profiles, it’s perfect for my needs. I’m also just a huge fan of stock apps, tbh.
Not if you have lots of specific filters set up in the *Arr suite. So much better getting a HQ rip automatically than choosing a random one in qbit.
There shouldn’t be any ads on AppleTV. And for AndroidTV, just install a custom launcher.
NextDNS keeps working when you leave your wifi network (without having to set up VPNs or DDNS). That’s what I like about it.

My Sony runs AndroidTV and uses NextDNS to block telemetry and the like. The features that I received with the last few updates enabled VRR, improved clarity and Dolby Vision, etc. So it was definitely worth it.
I really likr the last few firmware updates that my TV received. But apart from checking for updates every few months, I agree that keeping it blocked in my router settings is ideal.
Idk about most people… the difference in black levels is willlld.
I use a Sonos Roam. It’s the least-good-sounding speaker in my Sonos setup, portable, wireless, and waterproof. Works really well for shower music.
Ship of Harkinian is an absolutely brilliant way to play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I have it up and running on my Steamdeck and it blows the EmuDeck/RetroArch version out of the water.
Me too! Works super well. I fucking love NextDNS.
There’s no need for torrenting with services like Stremio (with Real-Debrid).
