So tangential storytime: my husband recently discovered one of these channels (not sure if it’s this one or just a similar one), and specifically this goddamned song called “I glued my balls to my butthole again.” He will. Not. Stop. Playing it. He thinks it’s fucking hilarious, especially the more I roll my eyes.

Anyway, yes these channels are a blight, something needs to be done about them, and if anyone needs a husband they can find mine on the curb blasting that song on a loop lmao

If you’re looking for a more schlocky horror experience, give Resident Evil 8 a try! Extremely fun to play with a story that would be kinda ‘eh’ if the performances didn’t elevate it to cult-following b-movie perfection.

Subnautica would be a good game to transition from the end of summer to the beginning of fall. Spooky atmosphere where you play (almost) entirely underwater.

Crow Country came out earlier this year and definitely capitalizes on PS1 era horror games. In that vein also, Signalis is an excellent cerebral sci-fi horror.

Horror comedies are definitely a thing, but tbh I’d still consider Alan Wake 2 an outright horror even with the lighter stuff! Very spooky elements, with great writing and story crafting. Bonus points if you play Remedy’s other games for the Easter eggs

None of the others are as good as Until Dawn, imo, unfortunately :(

I do agree that the lack of a headphone jack absolutely kills me. It’s a reason I haven’t pulled the trigger either way on a new phone yet. On the one hand, I want a secure degoogled phone that maintains a lot of functionality with GOS. On the other, I want a modern phone with a headphone jack a la Sony. I go back and forth constantly.

Have people forgotten about the used market? Buying things second hand is the way.

Why not buy a used one? I plan on picking one up from ebay or something.

Is there a different OS with the relative ease and functionality of graphene (android auto and other such features being big one) that you could recommend to a beginner? Or is graphene still worth it, in your opinion? Ease is important to me as someone with a new baby but cares about privacy.

Yeah, apple is always teetering on that fence where on the one side, they’re a Corpo and want to sell your data, but on the other side their whole draw and the logic behind being a walled garden is the privacy aspect for their users.
