I use the newpipe fork that has sponsorblock built in, its serving me well.
found the nvidia user
theres a bug where the vr profile is missing for amd gpus and it ends up running lower power, I’m sure you can find the thread where they have proper instructions to fix it or just use corectrl to set the performance limit to high or something when the vrcompositor program is running, that fixes the frame times.
you can use the steamvr in built frame time graph, it can be displayed in the headset so that is that
there is really no need to be using windows just for vr anymore
it does work totally fine, it just doesn’t have feature parity with windows. use it all the time :)
did anything work for you?
that sounds sick! really want to set that up for myself, do you have any pointers?
I like the xr integration especially, its the one thing i forgot to mention
I want a seamless linux ecosystem across all devices (desktop, mobile, tv, etc) but especially i want to see linux phones take off. Their openness, the privacy aspect, and the power user stuff that comes with kde is already awesome on desktop, and especially their integration with the desktop would be crazy. I think the potential is incredibly high, we just haven’t seen it because the support is very early.
I believe monado has some working with linux? they even have hand tracking support.
I’m honestly pretty hopeless when it comes to self hosting
scheduling them is probably smart, I’ll see if it affects the shader cache downloads.
joplin sounds awesome, will def take a look
not being open source is a bit of a bummer but i’ll have a look
it’s like the fediverse in that, its too hard for new people to understand and that nobody knows about ir
I’m doing what I can do get more people onto matrix or whatever other alternative, but it doesn’t help the problem basically at all. matrix is the one that has to establish itself as a solid alternative to others
basically no one is on matrix for what I need/want
I always cry so hard at the endings, especially when the more prominent characters’ voice messages come up during the credits. I don’t think any other game has hit as hard
I wonder what dance dash on acid would be like, its far less epileptic than beat saber but the movement is awesome
well they do have deckard, a standalone linux hmd in the works. also hdr works over gamescope on any distro I believe.
