The UK gov are as useless as nipples on a man. They don’t act on anything unless they see monetary gain.

I did the exact same thing with my Steam Deck LCD and I had the same problem. It was a piece of piss to swap out the part thanks to Valve and iFixit :)
Modularity and upgradability should be standardised in everything!
I’m guessing you’ve never used an electron app before?
Tbh I always disable VRR because I find the flicker in games and full screen video way too distracting. At first I thought it was my previous VA monitor but the exact same thing happens on my OLED.
But hey at least the scaling works!
I really like the GNOME app ecosystem, I like KDE too but I’m not sure I’d make it my default desktop environment.
I feel like GNOME developers need to drop what they’re doing immediately and focus on making fractional scaling usable. Hi-DPI scaling is everywhere nowadays from TVs to laptop monitors, not supporting it properly is a massive problem for all affected users.
I’d switch to Linux pretty quickly if they made using my damn laptop a usable experience without dealing with blurry apps or having to use a microscope to read text.
I was going to say, you haven’t been on the internet long enough if you think there aren’t people out there petty enough to defend a dying display server 😂
I can feel all the X11 fanboys crying lol
Bloodborne please!
It’s so weird how similar your journey is to mine! I also started with the 3GS and then upgraded to iPhone 4. Ever since then I made the switch to Nexus 4 and have been an Android user since a few weeks ago.
My last Android phone was a Galaxy Fold 4 which I absolutely loved. However knowing that the crease was getting deeper and deeper and that the screen protector started cracking, I didn’t want to baby the phone any longer so I sold it and got the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
To be completely honest, Android and iOS are so close nowadays. The gap used to be way bigger last time I owned an iPhone. The main thing I’ve noticed is that iOS is slightly more polished in animations and the OS is generally more organised, such as how the settings are better categorised compared to Android’s mess of settings.
I do really miss Samsung DEX and am a bit sad how there’s no iOS alternative for when I dock my phone.
Overall both OS’ are excellent, it’s just that with Android you only get a decent experience on high end Samsung Phones or Pixel devices (it’s a shame I think the camera bump is super ugly like you do!)
Will I go back to Android at some point? Maybe. Am I currently enjoying the iPhone? Absolutely!
Go and troll somewhere else, it’s clear you won’t change your opinion even though you’re wrong.
Well, the thing is that developers need to go out of their way to intentionally break Linux support. The community does 99% of the work in most cases. Launchers, along with anti-cheat are the most egregious.
Anti-cheat I can semi-understand, the developer has to do some work, but popular anti-cheats support Linux no problem.
Launchers, however are 100% useless other than Steam itself, I wish Valve would ban third-party launchers. I wouldn’t be surprised though if some publishers would pull their games from Steam if Valve outright banned them.
It’s only happened once in my life, but I didn’t have any visual flashes or anything of the sort, just the sound.
I was sleeping one night about 16/17 years ago and heard something that I could only describe as a UFO. I didn’t get a chance to look out my window, but I heard this rapidly pulsating droning sound VERY close to the roof, as if it was tracking me. I heard it fly overhead where my bed was, and it paused for a few seconds, but the sound could still be heard.
Probably lasted for about 10 seconds before it rapidly flew off. I’ve never heard anything in my life that sounds anything like this; it gives me the chills just remembering what I heard that night!
I was scared completely shitless.
Unholy rice
Ads have already been proven to be an extremely ineffective marketing strategy; now Google wants to force them down our throats even more? Fuck off
Call me a filthy casual or whatever, but I use Windows, Linux and macOS equally. My preference is Linux but I don’t limit myself by just pretending the other two options don’t exist :)
In reality, if you’re a mid or large sized business, it won’t make any difference. My company continues to pay for RHEL for the piece of mind of knowing we get support (even though we never use it!)
I can totally see enthusiasts and small businesses going with cheaper options (aka free!)
People play games for escapism, not to be reminded of politics. Not every story needs deep political roots, people just want to have fun and forget about real world bullshit.
