It does require you to use Ubisoft Connect, but it’s already embedded with the Steam download. You also still need to link your Connect account to Steam.
It just doesn’t require you to download & install it separately.

Would not recommend Sync, last update was March 2024 and there’s issues with reporting DMs, cross-posting and more. Just scroll through the community to get a general vibe of the userbase: !syncforlemmy@lemmy.world.
I personally use Thunder now, and I have used Eternity too. Both support account switching.
What do they actually want? They have a Discord server and everything.
yeah it says 99.99 at first, but then when you choose 0 extra options it jumps to 119.99 :/
$119.99 is quite steep imo. I currently have a Pi Zero W soldered to my GC to allow custom ROMs, and that was relatively cheap.
Yeah, signing up to a bot instance isn’t going to be a fun local experience. I blocked that instance a while ago because it doesn’t add any value to the fediverse (imo)
Lemy.nl is just news outlets and traditional media having bot accounts and posting their content. There are almost no discussions or human content on that instance
Edit: see for yourself https://lemy.nl/
Ah I thought I missed the news and Ubi purchased the rights or something. The point does still stand, yeah. Parent comment made the same point too
Ubi? I thought Dragon Age was EA
I haven’t used the Reddit app in over a year, so I honestly had no idea!
Forgive my ignorance, but isn’t that already how it works? Or do you mean tap and hold on a post from the feed, and then swipe up?
Why not both? Filter support would mean you’d have to update your list continuously based on current politicians and depend on certain words being used in the title/body.
A tag would still mean you’d have to depend on OP to select the right one (or perhaps on a mod to assign the right one), but at least the amount of variables would be infinitely less complex
OP, your answer is in this thread
I like this a lot. Using lemm.ee isn’t mandatory, as you can choose “pick another server” the moment you try to comment. For a moment I was wary that this would just send everyone to 1 instance.
Last year there was a sale with 50% off, if that is what you’re upset about?
I like this!
The userbase here is quite technical so there are many of you able to contribute.
As a project manager, I can help by ballooning the scope and setting the deadline to yesterday! Doing my part!
Good point. I don’t have all the answers to this predicament, but I think most of us agree that we need to improve on the onboarding experience.
I agree, but people (read: instance owners) might disagree who gets to be seen up top and who won’t make that cut.
It’s a tough dilemma in itself, I will say. In the end, I think we should move this part of the joining experience until after new users are familar with the software.
So new users land at “lemmy.noob” or something, and when they are ready to spread their wings, they can choose the things I showed above to go and find the right home for them.
I’ve blocked the whole instance ani.social and since then I don’t get softcore anime tits anymore.
Was a tough choice because instances usually host a ton of other communities and users but it just became unbearable like you mentioned.
edit: a side-effect is that users from a blocked instance replying to your comments will not show up in your inbox. Figured I should mention that so you can weigh the pro’s and con’s
