I think this is the best answer. Separation of concerns and all. And OP can keep using whatever notes app he is right now or even switch to another, without the additional encryption requirement.

Which one is your favorite?
The Long Dark for winter, of course.
Factory must keep running!
I’ve checked and Invisible inc has a still active modding community too!
There are FIVE Skyrims already?!?
That one is not from Klei :) I’m asking because I like all the Klei games I’ve tried, but didn’t get much into modding with any of them…
Which klei games have the strongest modding?
You don’t have to use the same provider as me :) I’m sure proton mail has some offerings in this vein; other common choice is Tutanota or perhaps Startmail.
See for example this list https://www.privacytools.io/privacy-email
Ha, “bit old” indeed.
It is also currently on sale, for historic low price.
Don’t try to host your own email server, at least not at the start. It’s really hard and the main issue is not technical - makn issue is fighting with big providers so they don’t refuse your mail.
Instead, use a professional mail provider allowing custom domains (I use mailbox.org). You can still keep using your domain for web / http access for other services you selfhost, you just point mail-related DNS records to the mail provider (they all have guides about how to do that).
Don’t forget migrating your accounts in various online services if you used Gmail or Google login for registration.
For mail address, it is best practice to register your own domain and use any reputable mail service provider that allows to use custom domains. This way your address is not tied to the provider and you still own it in case of any issues with the service provider. This means you don’t loose access to the online services when Gmail (or anyone else) decides to block you.
Calculating hashes is supposedly more expensive for longer strings. That could be used to simplify some kind of overload attack like DDOS.
I liked Two point hospital, but feel no urge to try other Two point games.
Don’t forget to compare a consumption too, or perhaps “performance per watt” metric. If plan to run this CPU in a server, this makes a difference in the electricity bill - especially for always on server.
This is very important distinction to be made. Sync is not a backup.
However, you can get 90% there with Syncthing when you enable file versioning or at least trash can for the files.
Ha, what about first person RPGs?
Is that something like Crowdstrike? ;)
Thanks. Sad to hear that. I’ve played and liked Origins, but quickly soured when playing 2. I was hoping that maybe 3 would be worthwhile… Maybe with some mods to reduce grinding, if they exist?
