My recollection was big characters had a higher top speed, but slow acceleration. Small characters were the opposite. Medium characters didn’t excel or suck at either.

I have 1000 games, but I still replay a bunch of them over and over, just at a less rapid pace.
When I was a kid, some piece of computer hardware came with some game demos. There was one called Taskmaker. It was not good graphically, but I really enjoyed it. It allowed access to three areas, I think. I played so much that I was able to beef up my character significantly. I was eventually given the full game. I played it so much. I tried bribing all of the NPCs to see what they’d say/do. There was a text box where you could type spells into. The normal progression of the game didn’t really give you many of them, but bestowing stuff to NPCs was one way to learn some.
Anyway, I found an abandonware version of it a while back and installed it on an old Mac virtual desktop. It still holds much of the same magic for me. I don’t have time to bribe every NPCs now, but I remember a lot, and google helps me with the rest.
But can it contain them?!
Is that a potato or a turd?
That’s awesome! I have 3 N64 controllers in great shape. Not sure I’m looking to invest $70 into an N64 controller, but it does sound amazing. I’m going to save your comment in case I change my mind.
What’s the N64 wireless controller and do you really like it? I might play mine more if I didn’t have wires for kids to ensnare themselves.
I’m sure that generally that is true, but my brain tends to pick something from a show, movie, song, and play it on repeat for the entire time I’m asleep. This results in me having terrible sleep. I play a show or movie as I’m falling asleep and this doesn’t happen. I usually fall asleep within 5 minutes. When I have a decent amount of sleep 6+ hours, I wake up refreshed using this method.
Again, I’m not saying you’re wrong. I’m saying there may be exceptions like mine.
I did not downvote you, because I don’t downvote people who are trying to have conversations/discuss topics.
Related to the use of an articulating arm for watching in bed, it was amazing when my neck and back were hurt and I needed to lay totally flat for a few days.
I find that my brain processes information better if my hands are also doing something. So, I use various fidget toys to help me concentrate during meetings.
I believe we determined that Jesus invented Buddha and Buddha invented VPNs. So, by extension we could say without Jesus, there would be no VPNs. Also, no corn chips.
Yes, the pattern matching is important. There was a sequel to Contra on PS2 (I think) that my friend and I found pretty hard. We learned the patterns of where to be and where/when to aim. Then, we kicked butt. We turned it up to the hardest setting and didn’t really need to adjust much. So, it ended up being really easy at that point. We loved playing that game after we learned the patterns.
How much shit does your family go through that you need bylaws and a treasurer?
Pretty sure that could be the basis for a series of children’s novels that were eventually adapted into a trilogy (or more) of movies.
True, but it does suggest they are in the same league. Not saying it is, but able to be compared suggests that it may be as good in some aspects.
Sounds like your system is not optimized or you need a different work environment altogether.
I think that’s fine for a day, but 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 50+ weeks a year, for 40+ years? It’s going to mess up your neck, I think.
That was not my recollection of how it was supposed to work or how it worked in practice, but I found an archive of the original guidebook, and it says exactly what you said. Interesting. I got passed up by Donkey Kong and Bowser on straightaways all the time, but maybe that’s more of a mirror mode challenge thing than a size of the karts things.
