Never thought of it that way! What a dystopian world we live in where intelligent conversation dies because there’s no good way to profit off of it.
Yeah pet licenses should definitely be a thing
I had a laptop with a clit mouse when minecraft first came out. Never got the hang of it and would steal one of those mice with the trackball on the bottom from my dad’s desktop instead
Man I’m glad I stopped watching after volume 3 then. I remember thinking that the early seasons weren’t great aside from some action sequences, and that maybe once they got the ball rolling they could do the story more justice. But it needed to get better after V3, not worse lol.
I loved all 3 games as a kid, and I think it did a lot of things right for a game of that era. I think it’s at least surprising that it never had a remake or a more modern iteration, considering other remakes like ratchet & clank, rayman, etc.
I miss when his videos were just about the records and not the drama surrounding them
Folding Ideas is my favorite channel, but since someone else already recommended that, I’ll also recommend Thomas Flight. He’s a film nerd, but its all really beautifully explained and he also puts a lot of effort into highlighting things that he likes. His video “Why do Movies Feel So Different Now” was really enlightening.
I think yes. The intention was to scam people, but it got too much attention. Plus they’ll still probably make money off of it, I guarantee plenty of people will never bother to refund, either by forgetting or not hearing about it
Started playing minecraft again, wanted something cozy to play during the holidays. I always end up committing to a really big build and then lose interest halfway through, so we’ll see how it goes
I finished Chants of Sennaar a couple nights ago, it was a lot of fun. Language-based puzzle game inspired by the Tower of Babel. It’s very pretty to look at, and a lot of the puzzles were really clever. My only real complaint is that I was really expecting the final level to be much more difficult, requiring me to do a lot of synthesizing of ideas from previous levels, but instead the final puzzles were pretty easy and linear. I’d still recommend it though, the first 80% of the game is great, and if you get that far, you’ll probably have the momentum to finish, the end doesn’t take that long.
Also a fan of Unbound! My last run I tried whatever setting it is that makes it so that all fully evolved pokemon have the same stat totals, which really made the game feel different and like I actually had options for building a team. Although I still found myself thinking “oh I can’t put butterfree on my team, it’s too weak”
My favorite hack is Gaia, it doesn’t have as many features as Unbound but it’s got the right vibes for a pokemon game while still having increased difficulty and QOL stuff.
Oh hell yeah, we just finished this year’s rewatch last night
Become a politician, then sell out to a corporation
Ooh, thats sounds right up my alley. Used to love civilization and stellaris and those types of games, but war was always my least favorite part of the gameplay. It gets in the way of my perfect empire.
TUNIC is another game that you can only play once. I recommend it to anyone who likes elaborate puzzles
Good on ya. The whole book is like that.
Complicated is fine, it was the whole “things are happening on several different floors in your base and everything is happening in real time, so you have to constantly pause to handle everything”
Very excited for adventure mode. The colony builder was overwhelming to me, but I want to support the game, so I feel like a single-character adventure would be perfect
It definitely wouldn’t be the left image. With legs like those, you could never pull the pants up past the first (or I guess technically last) level of branching. It would either be the big pants or a large number of seperate, smaller pants on each of the lowest branches.
