An oven is something you put food in to cook by heating the air inside of it.
A range is the burner portion.
A stove is a combination of the two.

If you want more of a creating bench style, there’s a whole crop of games under the “open world survival craft” genre such as valheim, raft, rust, project zomboid, green hell, and so on.
Hilariously, the data don’t back them up, my wife does research on this very topic for a company. The dollar signs do though, they have to justify the property expenditures.
For sure there are alternatives, but I doubt there’s a lot of overlap between kids who want books and kids who want some e-currency. Probably not much overlap with gift givers either.
