There was actually a german ad about this quite some time ago: a grandma did this, then called her grandson “i think i just deleted the internet”.

How the ad continued? No clue.

What it was advertising? No clue.

Right. And a single ship in a single game of questionable status isnt gonna give you nearly the entertainment value that the 7-40 games you could buy for the same money are gonna give you.

Look, if you are happy with your purchase, thats cool. But to us this looks like a f-ton of wasted money.

You can install windows for free. The only difference to the paid version is a reminder in the bottom right corner to activate windows. And that can be disabled with a registry edit

And? Different language versions of wikipedia articles arent just translated from one another, they are written independently from each other. There is probably also alot in the german article that you wont find in the english version.

As a smoker i would say that thats pretty unrealistic. Most smokers smoke at least 10 cigarettes a day, he would basically be pendeling between outside and bathroom. I would maybe rather suggest something like a smoking-jacket (or better a coat) that he puts on before smoking which doesnt enter the house besides for washing

I think the main reason lemmy is mostly news, memes and discussion atm is that thats something everyone can do/ participate in. And since there arent that many users right now, thats what most content is.

Though I for one would be very happy to see such projects: self-made art, music, crafting, cooking, whatever else people are up to. And I dont think im alone in that

Absolutely this. I only buy games at summer or winter sale, spent 20-25 bucks and get enough games to tide me over till the next sale
