As we used to say when I was a little kid: “Zero the hero, first the worst.”

It’s popular in Canada, too, but we are basically the US.
I think the difference between jam and jelly is how much pectin is in it, or one has chunks of fruit and the other doesn’t? I don’t really know. I don’t like either of them.
I downvote by accident all the time, and I’m sure other people do, too. I undo it when I notice, but how often do I (or anyone else) just not notice?
People really need more hobbies. I love spending time with my husband but I can’t imagine not being able to entertain myself. I could happily go weeks without talking to another person, just doing my million different hobbies.
Doesn’t it basically turn you into a zombie temprorarily or something like that?
No
You aren’t missing anything.
Lofi covers of video game music. Mostly Zelda, because I am a dork.
Wait, what? You guys are paying all that for insurance and it doesn’t always include dental? Like the main reason I wanted to be on health insurance here in Canada was for dental and prescriptions. I’ve been on some of the crappiest insurance plans here and they all include dental.
Every time I lose my patience and yell at my children, which is way too often.
The way they climb and headbutt everything is adorable. I love goats. They also have good hair for clothes. Mohair and cashmere is goat hair.
Edit: The fact that goats are incredible climbers has always been so funny to me. They definitely do not look like they can climb anything.
I saw a video on youtube about an ant supercolony maybe 20 years ago now and ants have been super fascinating ever since. They farm fungi! They ranch aphids! They have designated trash dumps! They go to war and take slaves! They build ventilation chimneys (whatever they’re called) so air can move around in the colony tunnels!
My ten year old dumb tv died recently. I got a samsung smart tv and just never connected the internet, like everyone is suggesting. I have my playstation and an old laptop with kodi plugged into it. I personally hate smart tvs (even without internet, it’s still more annoying than old tvs) but this works well enough.
Edit: the Samsung tv remote works with my Playstation, too, and I could probably set it up with my computer but I like using the wireless mouse and keyboard.
It was started by someone who used to work for Dominos and is very similar.
I just use it to chat with friends. I like that the conversations disappear. I don’t give it location permission and I don’t use any of the other stuff it has. Honestly I don’t even know what else is on there.
And the texture of actual sweet breads is way different than the texture of banana bread. Breads are chewy, cakes are crumbly.
I wouldn’t consider banana bread a bread. It’s a cake and the bread part is just a name.
I don’t really know how to feed everyone without TFWs either, to be honest. They really are so much better at this work than any local Canadians I’ve met, myself included. And people are only willing/able to spend so much on their food. I’m paid better than most farm workers because my boss is idealistic and willing to pay himself very little in order to pay us more and sell at a price regular people can afford, not just wealthy people. He can only get away with paying himself so little because he lives in an off-grid cabin and I’m pretty sure his parents are rich. It’s a nice job for me and we do feed quality produce to people who normally couldn’t afford it, but it’s only about 200 people. Places like this aren’t going to feed all of Canada.
I hope you get your farm one day, though. It feels good feeding people.
Editing just to clarify that I don’t think it’s okay to treat TFWs like we do. People need to be paid and treated properly regardless of where they come from.
I work on a small farm and am treated well but my understanding is that the big farms that supply the grocery stores employ almost exclusively underpaid temporary foreign workers (TFW). A lot of the farms that sell at farmers markers also employ underpaid TFWs or idealistic young people who will work for food, a room to sleep in, and a $50 a week allowance.
I’m just plugged in with an hdmi.
