i thank you for this as a hispanic dude with a polish mom
yes, like how i forgot the word “fill/fill up” but knew the portuguese “encher” (which was the first word that came to mind)
like Canada?
oh no 😭 they are the kindness Crew
dammit, didn’t think of that
i love when jokes work in both languages :)
of course! 31% is between 1/3 and 1/4 anyway!
my dad always said we shouldn’t buy a nova “porque no va” :)
in our other language, portuguese, nova means “new” (feminine)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_English-speaking_population says 31%. tysm for your answers!
i know i was. i’m actually 55 😁
this was a very interesting read, thanks!! is it like portuguese with “tenho saudades”?
about how many people would you say speak english in romania? 🤔
code switching is awesome. sometimes i’ll hear bilingual hispanic people being like “oh, by the way, ya has visto squid game (have you seen squid game yet)? it’s so good”
do u think your mom will teach u again??
whoa falo os 3 idiomas tbm mas falo portugues possivelmente melhor do q os outros
could she perhaps teach you?? burmese seems like a cool language
i once dated a girl (lost contact with her years ago) from myanmar. she spoke burmese at school (we were in high school) and with family but mainly spoke to her online friends and me. she also prefered english and while she could speak/understand spoken burmese, she could not read it without translating into english
this sounds like their question greatly offended you
