When my parents bought me the physical edition of Half-Life 2 when I was a kid, I was absolutely gutted that I needed an internet connection to play the game because it wanted to install Steam. We lived in a rural area without Internet so I simply just couldn’t play it at all :(
The bird:
“WHY THE HELL ARENT THESE EGGS BREAKING? WHAT MANNER OF BIRD LAID THESE ABOMINATIONS?”
Damn, that’s the same singular issue I’ve been having too lol
Oh, trust me I know the 56k dance, too bad I never learned how to actually dance…
However! I have since purchased the game, and it is just as spicy as the reviews say :) level design is interesting, it throws in some puzzle mechanics between the gore fest
(Online features require 56k modem)
The funny thing is that with these doom engine games it might as well be a project from 2001 :)
Whattt 2001??
Embrace, erase, enshittify
but won’t somebody think of the shareholders?? Line must go up!!
But for real though the steam deck was always going to be a better option for so many reasons
Your head must rattle like a maraca when you walk around due to those four loose braincells just bouncing around
And fair enough, but you need to install a rootkit on my machine so Billy can’t get me a new cape?!
Oh no! Billy cheated his way to a new cape!! 🙄
It really is quite silly. There aren’t even leaderboards or anything
Can confirm that Minecraft runs very well on ARM MacBooks
Just checked mine and same, the same screw too. :/
Yeah I won’t be buying this trash either
Edit: this sounds harsh, I now realize, however I’m pretty much done with all of these Ubisoft games, there just doesn’t seem to be any true originality anymore and it makes me sad
I mean, I’m running high detail shaders and distant horizons and my game runs like butter, as does my partner’s who has a 2060 ti.
You’d be amazed how well fabric java Minecraft can run. For me there is zero point in even entertaining the idea of using bedrock.
I also run a java server with the geyser mod which means that bedrock players can play on it if they need to.
Java will always be the superior Minecraft version.
Instead of the sax talk, I’m going to sit them down to chat about how cheating in video games is bad m’kay
TIL to make my future children their own steam accounts

I need to sleep
