I get the 3rd party controller hate, but I got a couple of these at Ross for like $14 , and they worked great for when you have guests over and wanna play smash or something, or if you have kids and don’t want them screwing up the good ones. Also there’s no latency, and imo it’s more responsive. Might just be in my head, but I actually prefer it. I was absolutely shocked that they also worked on switch 2. Best $14 I ever spent.
I hadn’t noticed that, but as far as grievances go, that’s pretty minor. Everything else works great.
The good news is you can still use the switch 1 pro controller with the switch 2. I actually ordered one for the switch 2 and promptly returned it when I found out (thankfully before opening that, though unfortunately after I’d already opened a set of switch 2 JoyCons). You can also use joycons from switch 1, and even my licensed wired controllers work too. That was an awesome move by Nintendo that saved me a couple hundred dollars, so imo it helps justify the higher price point of the new console. You can get a switch 1 pro controller pre-owned on eBay for like 25 bucks, and new for like $40. No reason to buy the new one imo.
No, it’s what the gravy boat light is for
The last 2 months I have cared a lot. I typically overpay my tax on purpose so the IRS gets an interest free loan and I get to save some money. I aim to change that soon so I just pay what I owe, and possibly don’t get a refund in April. I don’t want to give the regime a single penny more than I owe, and frankly if my state seceded and I didn’t have to give them a dime, it would be preferred.
Nextdoor is the place I buy / sell secondhand goods. I signed up years ago, but the way they verified you then was you gave an address and they mailed you a post card. It is still a hassle, but imo it keeps the bots out which is nice. A lot less scammers on there.
Yeah, Facebook was great when it actually connected people together. Now it’s just a cesspool of AI slop and boomers
Wasn’t friendica it? I don’t need a replacement for Facebook. Barely use Facebook as it is. I was one of the few people that stood on them axing the chronological friends only feed. Once they fucked that up, I just said wow, Facebook is full of crap I don’t care about now. Guess I don’t need to use it.
The sequels suck.
The Mandalorian, Rogue One, Andor, Ahsoka, The Clone Wars The Bad Batch, all range from great to decent. Hell, even the Boba Fett and Obi Wan series were okay.
Story time… A guy I used to work with hit me up out of the blue to ask if I could venmo him $20 and he’d venmo it right back. I, knew this proposition was suspect. I told him he could just have $20 if he needed it. I asked around, and apparently he’d been hard into drugs and asked a similar thing to a lot of other people. He asked if the company I worked for was hiring a few weeks later. “Sorry bro, hiring freeze.” (There was no hiring freeze). I also never sent him another dime.
I didn’t even watch season 2. Season 1 was so colossally bad.
Mechanic. I have the tools and know how to fix my own car so long as we’re not talking about an engine rebuild, (and even that I could do and have done in the past, but it’s a pain in the ass usually and I don’t wanna). I enjoy the tinkering and troubleshooting. If it were a more desirable and high paying gig, I could see myself doing it for work. I also am IT support for my boomer mom.
Honestly, that’s kinda a win. The cover art guy looks like Trump so I won’t have to see that stupid fucking face.
Show me your deck
OP needs to hit the gym or something. I’ve always pulled them with my hand and never had a single issue.
I’m firmly in the both are a bit much camp.
Lame. I’ve gotten a ton of small titles for next to nothing with those.
It’s clearly Tolkien, you racist.
Even if it weren’t for the car turning itself off, the car could overheat idling in the heat. Hybrids are not immune from that. I own one and had it happen while idling because my kid was napping and I stayed in the car with him in the driveway of the house. I was in the car, and noticed the AC suddenly got hot. I turned the car off and noticed the pool of coolant under the car. I woke up the kid, and went inside and ordered a radiator (which was a bitch to install btw). It’s incredibly negligent to leave your kids in a running car on a hot day. Also, someone could just come in and steal the running car with the kids in it. I hope they throw the book at her tbh.
