This has been driving me crazy.

I’m using a Pixel with GrapheneOS and the FUTO Keyboard.

Slight workaround for everyone on Android: Click the keyboard selector at the bottom right of your screen and just select the already active keyboard. This will temporarily fix it until you start to type up a different comment.

And the police/courts won’t help you because it’s a problem from the private company running the cameras… I think we can see where some sort of AI backed camera network is headed.

A bandaid to fix this might be to setup an easy way for someone to dispute the charge. For every day that it takes the company to review the dispute, they would need to pay back the accused the same amount that they are charging them (with a minimum of paying them back twice the amount of the fine).

Even then, I’d rather cameras not be used in this way at all.

Isn’t the whole point of something like End-to-End Encryption so that not even the company themselves can read your messages?

In that case it wouldn’t matter even if they did turn the info over.

Either way, I would expect that treating it the same way that the browser view currently does would be a good start for this specific case.

There’s a lot of context missing on one post, while it’s visible on the other. And this isn’t a problem when viewing these posts through a browser instead of Voyager.

I’m assuming that’s along the same lines of how Lemmy users generally think that their upvotes/downvotes are private when in reality, if you know how to look for them, you can see them.

? Did you mean that the other way around? And if you did… forgive me, I don’t really use Mastodon. I was never much of a twitter fan. I don’t really like how all of my likes are public (although I guess I have had to get used to that with Lemmy).

Hmmm it was even able to pull in private DMs.

Maybe private DMs on Mastadon aren’t as private as everyone thinks… that, or the open nature of Activity Pub is leaking them somehow?

Stable Diffusion is an open source image generating machine learning model (similar to Midjourney).

Stable Diffusion 3 is the next major version of the model and, in a lot of ways, it looks better to work with than what we currently have. However, up until recently we were wondering if we would even get the model since Stability AI ran out of funding and they’re in the midst of being sold off.

The “weights” refer to the values that make up the neural network. Basically by releasing the weights they are essentially saying that they are making the model open-source so that the community can retrain/fine-tune the model as much as we want.

They made a wait list for those who are interested in getting notified once the model is released, and they turned it into a pun by calling it a “weights list”.

Well… good thing I’ve been buying what I can through GOG… but this is terrible news, especially with the way Microsoft has been shutting down gaming studios recently.
