In German we have three genders for words, neutral, female and male. These are spread around pretty randomly:

Die Tür / The Door is female Das Auto /The Car is neutral Der Bus /The Bus is male

We also have ‘ein’ which is the equivalent of “a” in english. Ein Auto / A Car.

The difference is the same as in german, one is specific, the other more general.

The population of just Europe, Canada and the USA is a combined is over 1 billion. I would say those are the most common countries where people pay for VPNs.

Let’s say one billion flat minus France. If just 1% of those people subscribe to a VPN at 5$/month, that’s 1.2 billion dollars annually.

The could also just see where you are connecting from and disable this feature for just french connections. Steam can do it for NSFW games in Germany.

Quite frankly, the idea that it’s likely that you can get rich through your own work/intellect/ingenuity is more and more false. Social mobility is not at all on the up and up.

You can also easily fuck up your life by failing at the attempt to become rich, or by ordering your life around that attempt. See crypto bros etc.

I mean: with food, rent and entertainment costing twice as much as it did a few years ago, people are gonna cut their superfluous expenses to make ends meet. Why pay for Netflix, Crunchyroll, Appletv, Hulu and HBO if you can pay for a VPN?

And of course I support this 100%. Entertainment is a basic human need and people should fulfill it in whatever way they can.
