Second this. rusticl worked perfectly for me when I needed to get OpenCL working with my 6600XT.

DualShock 4 and DualSense touch pads do this too! They even support multi touch so you can do left/right/middle click by using multiple fingers.
Oof yeah, definitely noticed some of those. I also totally lost screen share for both Wayland apps via portals and X11 apps in Xwayland, which really sucks.
Really wish I had waited. Post-update screen share is totally dead on my system. Apps that request access via a portal don’t work and never are given access to whatever I select and X11 apps that try to share X11 apps just have a black screen. It’s sucked because of how often I screen share on discord, and I’ve now totally lost that in both the client and on web. OBS virtual camera can’t even help me now because it can’t get access to anything.
Also on my girlfriend’s computer it totally broke graphical acceleration in the shell. Anything that uses it causes the whole shell to lag, and it makes any playing audio choppy.
There’s also lots of little annoyances around like the entire shell crashing when I change themes that have made me wildly unimpressed so far.
You’re best off waiting.
I had Arch on my trusty 2012 MBP too, right up until my SSD gave out 😓
It ran great while it was alive tho and I’d definitely recommend it.
Estrogen? It works for my girlfriend and her Linux shenanigans!
Yep, I have Arch Linux running on a random Asus Chromebook I had lying around. Only 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM so I have to keep things light, but it works!
I only go to reddit now if I look something up and get a link to it. I don’t go there to browse anymore.
Don’t even get me started on disk partitioning. I feel like they somehow have the most obtuse partitioning setup out of every distro I’ve ever installed. It feels like if you don’t just hand over your whole disk (which, if you do that, I feel like it doesn’t make it clear how it’s going to partition it), the installer gets very spiteful and just goes “fine then, figure it out”. I’ve never had so much trouble manually partitioning a disk before, I would literally rather just use fdisk lol.
