4 days agoIt’s literally this. I worked software for a financial company and we were considered a cost center. It showed in how they cut corners.

28·7 days agoI can verify that. I am a video game fan, though don’t always follow everything that closely. I remember seeing Wii U for sale and not really understanding what it was. It seemed like just a Wii with a weird controller.
43·8 days agoThey can try, but it might not work. GTA VI has been in development for like more than a decade and will probably have loads of content. I could see $100 being justified. But not every other AAA game would be the same. Most wouldn’t in fact.
That said, video games have been $50-60 for the last 25 years. If they’d kept up with inflation, they’d be close to $110. So, I get it.

Bernie Sanders even came out and said “hey, if Trump wants to cap credit card interest rates, I’m with him on that.”
Trump says a lot of shit to appeal to working class people. I don’t disagree with reminding him of what he said and holding him to those things, if he’s now going to be president.

4·17 days agoWell, my view of the Apple Intelligence changes is that they were a bit gimmicky. Notification summaries are more annoying than useful. Emoji generator is fun, but not really necessary.
The best feature is that you can now ask Siri to send your request to ChatGPT. Siri doesn’t seem much improved itself. Apple should put the bulk of its effort in to improving Siri.
