  • A VN/RPG that has romance and doesn’t make it an after thought. Like in most persona games or fire emblem games or even like mass effect. When romance is a thing, once you hit that we’re a couple button that’s pretty much it.

But then VNs represent the opposite end of the spectrum where you make the decision to pursue someone and that’s it, the entire narrative shifts to completely focus on that. I want a middle ground, where there is one structured narrative that asks the question “How might chasing down the big bad change if this person versus this person was the person most important to the main character”

Like for example of you wanted to woo the nerdy tech wizard, following his or her story might involve tracking down parts and materials to improve tech and brace against the coming of the bbeg. On the other hand of you want to romance the overeager hothead it might involve trying to take the fight to the bad guys while saving puppies and children along the way. Completely different paths with the same end goal of defeating the bbeg.

  • Talk to a major law firm about accepting the prize as anonymously as possible. Take the lump sum -payment to the lawyer team and divide it into thirds. One third goes into a trust that I can direct friends and family to with instructions to offer assistance for major life events, weddings, funerals, education and the like. That way I never have to be the bad guy who says yeah, no.

The second third will get invested into low risk bonds so I have a stable income forever

The final third will become what people normally do with lottery winnings, new home, that kind of stuff

  • As someone with ADHD Pokemon fan games have been my thing, especially side loading them to my phone.

Pokemon Infinite Fusions has by far been the stand out, filled with endless “ooh, but what about this?!” Moments. It’s a new, fun twist on the classic Kanto story, and even features Johto as an absolutely massive post game. It’s the only one I have to play on my PC though.

Pokemon XenoVerse is great as well, unique designs, a compelling story and a surprisingly well balanced new type. This one works very well on phones except for Pokemon centers becoming T H E V O I D.

Pokemon insurgence has been the latest to join my collection. It’s far and away the most maturely themed Pokemon game I’ve played (though I’ve heard uranium is more mature) I’m not finished yet so I can’t comment on quality. In lieu of fakemon they opted to instead create a massive number of Delta species, a take on regional variants which have all been interesting at the very least. It’s the one that runs best natively on my phone, with only the occasional glitched text
