Okay, that’s too perfect. Name of the town: “Renardeaux, Qc”
“The ruling theoretically applies to land borders, seaports, and airports — but in practice, it only applies to New York’s Eastern District.”
I run proton w/ netshield in combination w/ ff focus as a default browser, with all blockers turned on, for general use. As others said about battery use, about the same as any other VPN. Turn off either netshield or blockers and it’s terrifying how many annoying ads are in the avg. site.
It really is a great track. Came across it totally randomly too
And also “man, those toes weren’t even that long. Im glad I didn’t waste a cent on that tug.”
I’m all in
Yesss! Didn’t know there was a “Paprika” movie! I loved the book.
Forgot about this one. Really great!!!
Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy one of my favourite comedies of all times. Watermelon Man is an old fave.
Oak my god, I’ve never heard of the acorn trick! To the rabbit-hole!
I always think it’s weird when I run into people that can’t whistle or make a horn sound blowing a blade of grass. I’m not even talking like those ear-piercing 2-fingers-in-mouth whistles, just regular Andy Griffith style.
Definitely understand there are many whistling taboos(as there should be, Russia) and some bored rural-ness that factor in.
A quick stroll down a single playlist:
Anti-Flag, Kendrick Lamar, Rage Against the Machine, Nas, The Casualties, Veil of Maya, Lil Nas X, Nirvana, MIA, Childish Gambino, The Vandals, JayZ, J Cole, Mdou Moctar, Juiceworld…
That’s not even getting into the stuff Im aging out of(and still quietly loving).
Man, the kids are alright.
Definitely not fewer protest songs. Lots of “new” protest genres exist now (punk, rock, rap, hiphop, reggae, still folk, etc.). Radio and television are way less relevant for reaching « protest » audiences (generally younger). Without the risk of conscription into a foreign war, the anti classist/racist/authoritarian protest likely sounds different.
The times, they are a-changing(but not much)
I like that one but this was a bizarre arcade machine that projected a « hologram » of the game. I was broke and terrible so lord knows how the game ends:
Maniac Mansion, Commander Keen, Out of this World, Battle Toads, Time Traveller.
Some because I remember them being funny or having really cool styles, others just because I’m old/lazy and tracking down emulators and making time is too much.
Asks the Uber driver if they can stop at his boy’s place to grab is crucifix on the way to the club in Hull.
