So so so many. Right off the top of my head:
Then Strike Commander came out the next year demanding nearly 40MB. xD
Have you tried installing a copy of Windows in Dosbox, then install the game from there? I remember doing something like that to play the original SimTower.
Very likely the game is 16 bit mode, which is why nothing in Windows 10’s compatibility mode is working, as it doesn’t support 16 bit programs.
How bad is the scalping? I’m in Singapore and the price premium is about 10%.
The higher price isn’t permanent.
I’ve worked in camera retail and the local shops do just that, actually, and it’s effective. The FOMO people get their stuff first at a higher price, the shop gets a boost in margins, and everyone else gets to enjoy cheaper prices three months later (and have the early adopters sit through the bugs and first-run issues).
Definitely a good RTS, feels like it peaked with the first Company of Heroes.
Hybrid MMO/ARPG?
Same, Valve needs to get the international distributorship rolling!
I like the immersion and greater breathing space it gives. I sit slightly longer than that and a 32" 1440p 16:9 screen is just nice.
Yikes, even 1440P isn’t safe. My 12GB 6700 XT is looking a bit oudated already. It barely just has enough at max settings without the fancy stuff.
I think that’s how some creators do get paid. Large enough channels will get some form of revenue sharing from YouTube. That’s why when a video is demonetised the creators get very upset. As is when YT does some fuckery with their algorithms and their views plummet.
Mind, the rates keep getting worse, from what I hear. Hence more and more pateron and in-video promos, it’s a better and more stable source of income.
Yea, but the cost of having FB acquire your data doesn’t feel so… worth it? I’m not completely privacy-focused like many on the fediverse but I do view it as a trade-off, and at US$500 the trade-off no longer feels warranted.
Was thinking about the HP Reverb G2, it’s a little more expensive than the Quest 3, last I checked.
Realised it’s not that cheap, US$500? Feels like it’s at a price point where I could spend a couple of hundred more and not get Meta involved. Made more sense when it was US$300.
Doesn’t the recommendations require some history?
Though I feel that has peaked too, I think the recommendation engine was best around 2011 to 2015. It’s kinda gone downhill since.
I think the issue is being privacy-minded but being on YouTube. But I guess there are different levels of privacy, one doesn’t have to be at hermit-like levels. xD
Article mentions the A750 for just $11 more, is that true or is that just a current special discount? A750 is not on sale where I am and I’m not clicking on affiliate links. xD
Dang, lucky you! Though also what in the world did the previous owner do to it to kill the battery so dead in just 3 years.
Holy shit, that is a great deal regardless of where in the world you are. How’d you get it so cheap?
I’ve missed this thread for a few weeks already (as in, I didn’t see it). Completed Disco Elysium twice since then, amazing game! Very sad that there’s not going to be a sequel; the world is fascinating, as is the style of gameplay.
