Which one is your favorate, mine is ~/freedroid/.
😝
Or ~/.local/share/${software_name_or_whatever}
…
Or ~/.${software_name_or_whatever}/
Oof
Actually its phone OEM googled AOSP linux or as ive started calling it OEM+Google+AOSP/Linux /s
Googled android or “Google/AOSP” is probably correct
Clearly not, lol. Every vulnerability is spectere aparently. (To be fair, the other CVE this week is hardware based)
Its a CPU bug only the kernel can fix 🤒.
The kernel is responsible for its running hardware.
Am I dumb? that’s the spectere and meltdown bug. xz-utils malware is a whole other thing, lol.

it almost always does, lol
run a script to set the default browser back to chrome just after it changes, using some timer estimation magic also… try taskkill
i think the one next to debian
“All the ‘G’ keys on our keyboards are missing, my front wheel is missing, [whispers to camera] I cant get home! [narrorator: ‘careful tim’]”
A semi global campagn on youtube was literally the “hot singles in your area” ad. Across multiple profiles and days. one was literally pedophile bait.
Gee youtube, Thanks for the dead mouse present. /s
!politicalmemes@lemmy.world is likely next for me for a few reasons.
Ahhh! The sweet taste of hardware and software flaws. (Every platform had them lol)
Linux has also overshadowed BSD. Diversity matters, but so do standards. Code interaction contracts (think APIs and syscalls) are the glue to make a program that will run on a lot of diffrent software/hardware stacks (like diffrent OSes and hardware combinations). Sadly specific implementation diffrences make the genaric contracts (like UNIX/POSIX) unable to be implemented pefectly.
Kinda, theres actually multiple chained together. All of them handing control over to software more complicated than the last. The end goal is to load and hand control over to a kernal on stored on a writable storage media. The one on the eeprom is the first one (the BIOS).
Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
For my machines, i would be forced to use windows if the smart people didnt make proton and wine. Otherwise Ms puts you in a bind where you put up with it or lose access to software. EXEs hold any software hostage thats not also compiled for other platforms.
I got an error when trying to do so
’ mkfs.ext4’ is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Usually if its a boolean or nullable, a good config file will have a
# uncommemt this line to enable this feature/disable this feature/bind to this IP address/give this thing a name
that is at least vaugely hints what the option does. But yes, its still fairly annoying.
