Ah, the sunk cost fallacy… of course that’s why we can’t have anything nice.
Been on Lemmy for a year and some on .world, but switched to .today to support lemmy decentralization.

It’s definitely something that you have to grow up with. I was lucky to have an uncle who was obsessed with The Fourth Doctor when I was a child, and my love of the show comes from that. I wish some of the older stuff could be redone: it’s unwatchable for many because it was made for an audience who had tiny black and white TVs and a great deal more patience.
At least for me:
Dr. Who (First through Fifth Doctor mostly)
Original Star Trek
Star Trek: TNG
Star Trek: Voyager
Star Trek: DS9
Yeah! I love that!!
“Theresa’s Sound World” by Sonic Youth is the first to come to mind. The whole of Daydream Nation could probably count, honestly.
“Everything in its Right Place” by Radiohead (edit: idiot autocorrect) is another one I’ve often taken an audio bath in. Much of that album works too. I just hate the final song.
Absolutely horrendous. Please never listen to whoever gave you that. I am very serious: that shows such a lack of understanding anything about people, whoever is using this as a teaching material should be fired and banned from working with children. But they won’t, because toxic bullshit like this is what administrators love.
I am really sorry this is your educational experience. It is not supposed to be like this. Introversion and extroversion are just stupid labels that try to make things easy. Those labeled introverts are often the most generous, thoughtful people who actually listen to and cooperate with others.
Holy crap that is adorable. Fuckin’ just piggyback riding and enjoying the shit out of it. Arrgh, my cute aggression is really hard to fight on this one…
Hey there, your link isn’t working because the exclamation point is connected to the previous word. Yes, I know how to get there otherwise, but it might help others.
I keep seeing your username, and I just have to tell you I love it. I have now spent time considering the implications of a sentient loom, and I will continue to do so because they are so vast. Thank you.
It’s Lemmy! Lemmy! Lemmy lemmy lemmy!
I really enjoyed reading your thoughts. I have been trying to do much of the same as far as mindfulness and not forcing things. Listening to myself and the universe. Unfortunately, this will probably get deleted because this is not the appropriate community. I’m not really sure what community would be best, but I hope I find that community somewhere on Lemmy! @Blaze@lemmy.dbzer0.com, do you have any ideas what would be an appropriate community?
If you like the lore but watching it makes you want to stab your eyes out, look into the Target novelisations. They are mostly faithful to what was on the TV, and you get to use your imagination instead of BBC’s production values. They were usually written by the same person who wrote the script. I actually prefer the novels for several stories and was really, really disappointed when I finally had a chance to see them. A big bonus is the Target books are pretty cheap and easy to find used.
