I figured out why that movie is so good because it bothered me for a while.

The casting is absolutely perfect. Its not terribly special in any other way, but they nailed the cast. Even dumb lines like “cox n dix” work.

This has always been my counterpoint for the Nintendo haters when they complain about price. (Although they are a shit company in several other ways) Because when my daughter wants a new switch game if its a top tier Nintendo title its going to be a finished game with zero bugs and zero concern about problematic content for me.

I often have to call customers to check ambiguities in their orders and people just dont return calls. Our contracts clearly state that in the event that you cant be contacted we arent responsible for any errors.

I asked a friend who plays it and he says its good with randoms, but great if you have a crew you regularly game with.

20 million divided by 1.7 is about $11 per person, which isnt really that high.

I also think theres a distinction to be made between microtransactions in f2p titles and microtransactions in AAA premium titles. I logged something like 4000 hours in Mechwarrior online and I bought mech packs because I wanted to support the devs.

What I think you need to do is have multiple accounts, I have one with a LOT of filters. "Trump, Drumpf, Trumpist, MAGA, Elon, Musk, Tesla, Rep, Republican " you get the idea. Any community I have no interest in blocked, plenty of users who go into benign subs and bring up politics blocked...  Its my relaxing feed. NSFW filter on

Listen teens, I’m 40. I was a niteclub bouncer in a town popular with backpackers and partying, I also did a lot of traveling and partying. I was shameless, its a miracle it didnt fall off.

When you say you fucked my mom, its childish and stupid. When I say I fucked your mom while its not likely its possible… and thats worse.

Dropped fruit all over the ground really encourages rats though.

My mum got a house super cheap when I was young because it had a “rat problem” it also had a peach tree in the back yard that the owner didnt pick up after. We removed literal garbage bags of peach pits from the roof space and crawl spaces of that house and garage.

Chopped the peach tree down (it wasnt a healthy tree anyway) and the problem basically disappeared in days.

Thats the thing. If a customer forgot to mask off an alarm panel or two not taking the 5 minutes to do it just makes you look like a fucking asshole. If they didnt mask off a bunch of stuff then you call them, tell them that either you need to add to the estimate or rebook the job.

This is also why I own 2 shitbox cars.

I’m a good amateur mechanic. But I cant guarantee I wont order the wrong part, be sent the wrong part, have misdiagnosed the problem, the job turns out to be a nightmare etc… So as long as the other one is running, I have time and ability to sort it out.

I buy a lottery ticket every week. Not because I think I stand a chance of winning but I am renting the idea that I could solve 95% of my problems instantly.

I wont win, I’ll still have problems I know this but that $10 a week is me renting hope.

I second the general recommendations of Vans or converse but IMO if you’re also going to be on your feet all day wearing them the thin soles does get old fast. I wear my crossfit shoes most of the time and they are really good driving shoes because they tend more towards flat soles and unobtusive tread but still pretty good cushioning.

Volunteers are a double edged sword. At some volume of users and content it either needs to be a huge team of like minded volunteers which increases the likelihood of ye power tripping bastards or someone who is paid to do it and spend the time with rules to follow.
