The issue is the 4/20 (blaze it).
It also seems fake.

My mother certainly told me it was necessary as a child, but I think it was more in the “upholding the social contract” and “not being a lazy arse” sense of the word.
He was fantastic in Righteous Gemstones.
Let’s play Baby Billy’s Bible Bonkers!
I’m living with my grandmother in law and she’s just very fussy. Sometimes we think, I’d rather just pay rent somewhere, but we love her and she’s unwell and we’re saving money so we’re all looking after each other for now and trying not to sweat the small stuff like hanging a television when we don’t really need to.
I honestly haven’t even asked, but I know what the answer will be - can’t even leave the toaster that I use daily on the bench, has to go away once cooled. Getting to leave my coffee machine out was a bloody battle.
Her house, we live here for free and just pay our share of utilities and do our own groceries, and I help her if she is having a bad health day etc. It’s fine. It’s (mostly) worth the frustration.
I’m more annoyed with the limitations that renters experience in general - it’s the landlord’s property, but it’s the renter’s home, and sometimes it feels like we’re never really allowed to make any place our own, what with all the rules and regulations and punishments.
ETA: "won’t have a bar of… ", ie she won’t accept that sort of thing.
I’d actually love to wall mount but as a renter, not possible.
Currently living with elderly family and she also won’t have a bar of a wall mount.
I used to work for their brand in my country, and I would have to repackage and shrink wrap the game & booklets when we received new stock.
So yes, it is open but still new (assuming the store manager is honest).
I still didn’t like the idea of doing this to games, but there weren’t many jobs in my town and it sure beat working checkouts…
I got rolled into our floor rug as a kid, we were messing around and I thought it would be funny. It was not and a panic attack was had.
Features make car go brrrrrrrrm
I keep thinking of the monoblock as the monolith from 2001. But with water cooling tubes sticking out of it.
I don’t want to look it up because I like the picture in my imagination.
You can switch to use the external browser in the app settings, however, at time it affects everything - including images. Once that’s fixed, I’ll probably move back from Sync to Connect!
They’re literally a household name.
I grew up poor in Australia, and no one really had pay TV around me - least of all the people I hung with. Over the years, you’d still learn through other TV shows and movies that HBO was the channel with the good stuff.
Why change that? Why lose such branding? Have they become associated with something that they don’t want to be? If not, leave great enough alone.
I live outside of a tiny country town in Australia, and local shops literally do not carry many of the sorts of items I need or, yes, want.
I work from home and rarely go into town, so paying twice as much and taking a day out of my life just isn’t my bag.
If I can get local and it’s not urgent, I will put together a consolidated list and go in some weekend when I have enough to make it worthwhile.
Sure, it probably makes me the devil, but unless I go move to a cabin in the woods and life a self-sustainable lifestyle, I can’t realistically avoid supporting some amount of evil just by existing under capitalism.
I try to make good choices where I can, and vote for people who, ideally, could effect real change.
We draw stock internationally via FedEx, with usually at least one shipment arriving per day.
If I have a particularly urgent order for my customer, I will of course be tracking the incoming shipment.
Every. Damn. Time. I visit their website, I get halted in my usual manic pace by their stupid, slow to load pop up. I haven’t even been able to figure out how to block it, and usually don’t have time when I’m working to figure these things out.
Our company gives you so much money, FedEx - why do you have to be so difficult to work with as thanks?!
