Imagine having a wealth of content and side stories in the form of the notes you find around in-game and TLOU the series is what we got. Joel, Ellie, Frank, and Bill were perfect, but fuck everything else about it.

The game has an M rating (because of very dangerous drugs, BGS’ words, certainly not mine), yet the dialogue comes off as after school special.

Just play the crimson fleet quest line to understand what I mean if the opening Act didn’t convince you.

SF is a great premise with horrible execution, and unless BGS is willing to go back and re-record their dialogue for tone, I think “mostly negative” is a fair critique.

I’m still malding at how they canceled the singleplayer dlc so they could reskin and release the same content over and over on multiplayer (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

I liked Starfield and I still logged a shit ton of hours on it.

But it’s story, dialogue, and character interactions feel that bad combination of rushed and PG13 in a setting that should be R. The fact that they will likely never rewrite and re-record these quests kinda blows. And the looting took a step backwards with the lack of clothing pieces and non-unique clothing stats.

I’m excited for what the modding community does to the game, which is the major reason I bought it. I’ve got over 3000 hours on skyrim, less than 200 of that is vanilla gameplay ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I liked D2 in the beginning until I realized it was CoD’s multi-player put into its single player.

Maybe part of the issue is I left and came back, but I couldn’t make sense of any sort of storytelling and “go here, shoot this” stopped being fun.

Which sucks because Destiny has some amazing worldbuilding ideas.
