What is with hexbear and lemmygrad…why are people calling these out
This is the twitter and reddit ethos. Everyone is Super Smart and You Are Wrong Ha Ha.
On reddit you can find smaller communities where people are more normal and it’s closer to having a discussion at a bar than it is going on to /r/politics or something.
People DEFINITELY don’t like showing up at a new place and posting stuff and people piling on with snark and stuff.
One thing to remember is that Trump is at the peak of his popularity right now. It’s all downhill.
Remember they have cameras
Green subsidies and techno-futurists made this guy the richest man on earth, hope you all are happy.
This entire thread is bubble people threatened by peeking outside their bubble.
We’re still here.
Generation discourse honestly panders to the lowest common denominator intellect. People who constantly talk about boomers or millennials are usually pretty dumb.
The reason you don’t hear much about Gen X is “we” didn’t cause anything culturally significant in an enduring when “we” were in our 20s.
Zuck sucks but this open letter is embarrassing. Dial back the smarm and self-righteousness a couple notches. I get it’s marketing and not really an open letter but still, cringe
I recommend therapy.
Poe’s law detector fail
Nazism is a very small subset of fascism, they are not equivalent. Nazi also carries VERY heavy baggage which is inapplicable to Trump. Use the right terms.
It’s dumb to call Trump a nazi and the populist wing of the Republican party nazis.
It’s not even clever at this point, maybe it was edgy and transgressive like 7 years ago.
The reason it’s dumb is that you are wasting all of your powerful language and you will have no more if things get worse. Boy who cried wolf. Just like people did to racist which used to carry great power and now is basically meaningless as a powerful descriptor.
That seems fine, if distasteful? Like I’m in support of free expression
