Maybe it isn’t, but it’s hardly a reason to single out this game for it.

As do nearly all console online games
Are you imagining that this game should be like those constantly updating online games that rely on micro transactions or monthly subscription? It was a game to buy full price, but got updates and events for free for 2 years plus DLCs. The servers and game will still be online getting quality of life and security updates. Splatoon 1 servers were online for 9 years… On Wii U no less.
Homecoming: tony stark decides to actually help clean up after himself for once instead of making the citizens of new york pay for it (many of whom are homeless after the events of “avengers”). Some union workers start to destroy small businesses and kill people because of that
This reminds me of the situation where people thought they were doing good by sending free food and clothes to underserved African populations, but it turns out it was putting their local manufacturers out of business.
Far from home: A guy kills people because his invention wasn’t respected as much as he would prefer
Billionaire names the employee’s invention “BARF” craps all over it, then uses it for himself
No way home: spider man destroys his whole life and sacrifices 4 people who he tried to help for the sake of all life in the multiverse
Why was the multiverse in trouble again?
Homecoming: Blue collar workers are told they’re fired and replaced by billionaire Tony Stark’s new government backed company, Haliburton. I mean Defence Force or something. System failed them so they said fuck it.
Far From Home: Billionaire’s company steals invention of his employee and passes it off as his own. Makes more billions. Dozens of the employees quit to support employee’s new plans of taking back his tech and usurping Billionaire’s world dominance. System failed them so they said fuck it.
No Way Home: Literally just a movie about how Spiderman and the system failed these “villains” who really just needed support with mental health and navigating a shit system.
Honestly, if you want quality educational support, subscription services are more often going to be your gold standard. Ones that work in a browser probably best bet. Line ABC Mouse or whatever.
I’ve never heard of it. But we all live in our own spheres
I love it. Order when you’re ready. Don’t have to wait until the waiter is done helping the other table. See additional “substitution” options listed that you wouldn’t have thought of trying. Pay and leave when you’re ready to go
As of now they’re still considering this a test, so people have to still carry and have available their physical ID in any situation.
But, off the top of my head, say you’re going through security and already have your plane ticket on your phone, that is all you will need to have out.
If you’re buying some booze at the circle K and already planning to pay with your phone, again no need to get out your wallet.
I dunno if the ends justify the means, but use-case is kinda fun I guess
Are you mad at verge for not expounding on what that button does, or trying to display the issue itself?
Wii U too. Two consoles with a whole extra screen on your controller. Brilliant and cool features. Misunderstood or poorly timed?
That’s what I do
I’m not in the tech industry, but should Meta have some kind of obligation to report this to USPS? There’s no way they didn’t realize.
I realize the fine print user agreements (which I’ve noticed have become 3 to 4 separate documents these days – links to other links) exist for “a reason” but I feel like there ought to be a “mandatory to report” such a thing from the corporate end.
I don’t expect the USPS to have the same level of tech guru to combat corporate giant sneakiness
How about deep diving? It’s not easy and consistent with one app, but it’s pretty satisfying to be the one figuring stuff out.
Or local city planning. Future plans on what to build and where. Doesn’t update as frequently, but it’s something to circle back to on occasion, or you might want to get involved and go to a meeting.
Some people like to listen to police scanners, or alternatively there is usually someone with a social media account who posts just the most important or funniest transmissions from the city/county/whatever
Or you could get an idle game app that you occasionally need to pop into to collect money and upgrade.
Start day trading?
Portland airport parking garage has these lights at each spot, along with a digital sign at the start of each level telling you the number of open standard spots and handicap spots on that level
Takes one to know one
Thanks, I’d never seen that! It’s pretty glorious itself
Best intro EVER
Alternative facts, thank you very much
I didn’t know we were playing the PC vs console argument. Nevermind, someone did that in another thread already. Yes PC without subscription is better. But anyone playing anything on a console buys the sequel every few years of whatever the game may be. Which was what I was replying to
