  • that’s not a fair comparison because pc has people who running on hardware worse than a ps3.

This is a benefit of using PC, not a downside. Unlike consoles, you aren’t forced to upgrade every few years and you actually have the ability to change graphics settings. Even if you want to upgrade your PC, you don’t need to get an entirely new build.

That’s also missing the fact that plenty of people don’t need or want to play the latest AAA title.

  • If you don’t believe me, ask any 18 year old girl who wears tight clothes, what age are the guys looking at her body when she walks around?

First off, it’s not okay for that to be happening in the first place. Just because it happens doesn’t make it okay. Secondly, I guarantee that these same men look at 15-17 year olds the same way. Do you really think that they’re asking ages before checking them out? This is not a good argument. It’s hilarious that you’re also speaking for women, when you clearly are not one.

It’s biology, you can’t change that with political correctness…

This isn’t about political correctness, this is about not being a pedophile or an otherwise creepy little man. There’s a thing called self control and self discipline, you know? We’re intelligent creatures, it’s biology, after all.

  • Bluetooth can do it locally, but yes, for things on ZigBee or Z-Wave, it’s gotta have an antenna hub. WiFi switches and lights most likely do “phone-home” to the cloud in some way (usually for color or brightness control via app, Govee especially loves this). The down side, other than the obvious privacy implications, is that if your ISP has an outage, so do your switches.

Home Assistant attempts to mitigate both the privacy and offline issues, while putting all of the different brands and hubs into one place.
