No one in any of my friend/community circles ever plays cod anymore. Not just because it’s an insanely overpriced game, that’s exactly the same every year, but just because there are way more fun experiences in life, than listening to gamer words in the lobby.

The last one I bought with my own money was BO3, and even that was already a waste. I’ve received pretty much all but the last one for free, since then, and still didn’t find any interest in it. Neither has my brother, who had thousands of hours sunk into MW2/3 alone

I know this is true for you, but it’s incredibly successful still. I know some people that play it, but it’s literally the only game they play.

you really can’t under estimate the silent majority here, they play their game even if we aren’t very excited by it.

Honestly speaking, I’m not even sure about that. A lot of people who still play CoD regularly say that “gaming is dead, and all the studios are washed up”, while still playing it every day. It’s both an addiction issue, refusal to let go, and unwillingness to try anything else

silent majority, those aren’t the thoughts of most people who play COD. you don’t hear their thoughts, they aren’t talking about it on the internet. they just play COD after work for a bit. that’s their relax time.
