      From the images description over on deviantart:

      Another shot from an upcoming Dynamo episode. The character is a photoscan of my friend Sean. I’m really excited to use this technique more in the future- dressing folks up in costumes and scanning them in. I don’t even know how I’d get close to a similar level of naturalism just straight in the computer.

          Yeah its fascinating isnt it, at first glance i thought it was a 3d render, then i thought it was a photomanipulation, but it seems the technique is a even more involved than that.
