A large number of new users (possibly related to #RedditBlackout) have started to come to Lemmy.world, and the greater Lemmyverse / Threadiverse / Fediverse.

But… a lot of people are asking basic questions about how federation works, or how discussions happen. To some degree, Lemmy has been sold as “Reddit-like”, but the devil is in the details.

This community exists to gather high-quality Lemmy discussions from across the Fediverse, to help serve as a “Demo Page” of sorts, so others can understand how-and-why Lemmy functions.

The primary purpose of this community is to meta-discuss other Lemmy threads, especially those that highlight useful features.
