I missed when they’ weren’t so focused on development and more publishing focused. They published some bangers in the late 90s/early 2000s. Grandia comes to mind and a ton of Dreamcast games.

Investors seemed to be pushing for the company to go private, possibly for that reason.
It’s not much of a delay. It was supposed to come out in 2 months, but delayed another 2 months. Doesn’t seem like much time to get any real work done.
They also cancelled their premier at the Tokyo game show days before schedule. I have to wonder if they’re worried about the backlash that a lot of games are getting lately (Dustborn, Concord, etc) and just trying to push the game a little bit further out to avoid controversy?

The og, as depicted in the meme, needs 4 batteries, but I remember from experience as a kid that it wouldn’t work with a few dead batteries and one good one. Sometimes it would work out if they had enough juice in them, though. It wasn’t nearly as picky as my Nomad was.
I don’t think it’ll work without enough voltage
Honestly, I cant listen to anything while trying to concentrate. Music distracts me when I’m trying to focus on a mental task. Now if I’m doing physical labor or whatever, much easier. 80s music for sure. New Wave, synthpop. Good stuff.
Bite the cookie, Im going in dry!
Yeah, nah, boss, you gonna need at least 3 more of those bad boys.
Guy on YouTube/TikTok who does home inspections and see the laziest shit by builders. He seems like a good dude who stands up for the homeowners to get their new homes fixed up when builders try to avoid responsibility. He’s been on the news a bit, too
Cy is having an aneurysm
This games been getting a lot of press for some reason, but it really doesn’t look appealing to me. But the tutorial stuff really seals the deal for me.
Oh boy, someone’s getting sacked hard
Its pretty tough when they release a game that took so long to develop, that was meant for an era of gaming when live service games were hot. Now that a lot of live service games are flopping due to over-saturation, I think even Sony saw it wasn’t worth the effort of trying to push the game further without either reworking it into something else, or just cutting their losses.
They’re totally different games. Also depends if you’re referring to the series as a whole or the first game in the series.
One is a sim racer that came late in the consoles life, so it took better advantage of the hardware, bigger budget, so more content, etc.
The other is a port of an arcade game. Its a launch title, with very, very limited content.
For me, I get tired of Ridge Racer after playing it for a sitting. GT is the kind of game I can sit and play over the course of a few sittings and try and unlock cars and see more of the game.
But now if you’re talking about the series as a whole, then were talking about R4. I could play that all day. I much prefer the arcade style racing to the sim style of Gran Turismo.
Regardless, I think you could say racing game enthusiasts were eating good on the Playstation back in the day.
Weird. They seemed fine with it when it launched.
I mean I’m not gonna ick their yum. If they’re enjoying the game, great! Please keep playing it and enjoying it. I still think it sucks though.
Yeah, lame. Even Nintendo has kind of acknowledged a successor is coming soon.
The art seems a bit confused. 90s Zombies ate my neighbors graphics, but 80s arcade logo and title screen
