This late in the Switch’s lifecycle, I’d argue that the existence of a new game as big as a Prime sequel is good to remind people of. Haven’t touched my Switch in a while, but will likely be picking it up again for Zelda and Prime.

They did great with Metroid Dread, putting a new spin on an old classic.
I have some faith that they won’t just be rehashing an old formula and that this “Beyond” aspect will have some gameplay twists.
This trailer seems meant to reassure those of us who have been waiting decades for a true successor to Prime that “yes, in fact this is it”.
I expect we will see more trailers as it gets closer, teasing some of the new story and gameplay innovations once they are more polished.
Some of this is just because some of these frameworks and technologies have been around for a while and they iterate frequently. I see a ton of Azure content that is obsolete after only a few years.
I remember it looked really good for a PS3 game, I think the physics of the sand was a tech demo for the PS3’s dedicated physics chip or something like that.
Replayed the Prime series a bunch, most recently the switch remake of Prime.
Great series, I didn’t like some of the dialog/cinematics of the third one but the gameplay was great.
Dread was really good, exceeded expectations. Final boss was hard I’m not sure I ever beat it.
Super Metroid was great but I’m not sure whether I ever beat Ridley.
I think I completed the remake though. Really hoping to see Prime 4 at some point, maybe on a new console.
In addition, the company doesn’t invest in growing and retaining the rest of the development team for 20 years until said developer is near retirement, then finds that they need to hire 10 developers because 2 need to replace said person and 8 need to redo everything they did.
It’s been nearly 10 years since you needed to develop with C# on Windows.
New versions of .NET have been cross platform with a free IDE since 2016.
Switching to an IT degree at the last minute, would have been a history teacher otherwise.
I primarily use GitHub CLI to interact with the GitHub API, not Git. I don’t really see it as an extension of the Git CLI, which I use much more frequently. Everything you can do with it can also be done through their REST API.
I use it for things that aren’t really git features, like:
Syncing repository admin, pull request, and branch control settings across multiple repositories
Checking the status of self-hosted actions runners
Creating pull requests, auto-approving them
Whole-heartedly agree about the curator pick for factory games. Dyson Sphere Program is sooo good. Still technically in early access but I’ve put probably a hundred hours into it. I started playing it when the English translations were terrible, so some things were a bit tough to figure out, but that stuff seems better now. The way you level up your abilities and automation capabilities is great. I remember exploring my first nearby planet and being afraid I wouldn’t be able to get back, and now I’m regularly blasting off to planets 40 light years away and setting up logistics. They’ve added a bunch of stuff since then and they are adding combat around Christmas time. I’m tempted to start fresh when they add that. Can’t wait to see what the 1.0 product ends up as, it seems finished as it is.
I haven’t tried many of the other factory games because they are first person. This one feels more like a Sim City or Age of Empires, but you are controlling a mech in third person and there are ways to zoom out to see the whole planet or the whole system, star cluster.
Pikmin 4 was great. 10/10. Especially since 3 was so short, was good that this one took a lot longer to 100%. Mario Wonder is OK.
I think the new Ahsoka show should have been animated, in the style of Clone Wars OR Rebels.
I think Rosario and the other stars did a good job, there are just things that would have been better in animation, like lightsaber battles.
I second the recommendations here about finding an activity that you like. For me it was rec sports. Gets me out of the house a few days a week, and for me it was an activity to help me stay active but also a reason TO get fit. I wanted to feel less beat up after playing, so I started working out and stretching regularly.
I also had trouble with getting to the gym, and had trouble with focus and picking workouts, so I had success with P90x. It’s all workouts you can do at home with some adjustable dumbbells. I think I got a deal on the streaming subscription to Beachbody for 100$ for the year. Then I just followed the program and the workout calendar. They have a number of different programs on there, if you want to get ripped I recommend P90x, if you just want to do some sort of workout for 30 minutes a day I’d recommend p90x3 because it’s easier to stick to.
That was a good start for me, but I ultimately settled on just picking my favorite moves from the program and I switch between upper and lower body workouts every day because I found I was consistently skipping certain days of the programs.
There’s at least a veneer of legitimacy over the Florida supreme court deciding to award the state’s votes to Bush in 2000. Does it suck and should it be fixed? Yes. Was it illegal and dangerous to democracy? No, or at least not as bad as Jan 6 and the other crimes Trump and friends committed to try to steal the 2020 election.
Public opinion was very much in favor of the war in Afghanistan after 9/11. Maybe not so much Iraq, but it’s hard to blame Bush squarely for those wars when they had bipartisan support.
Bush is done doing damage to our country, and might actually be considered a voice of reason compared to today’s Republicans.
It’s definitely already Trump, and he’s not even done doing damage yet.
Even if Republicans elect someone who is identical to Trump in his words, views, and actions, that person would still be better for the country than Trump. It’s critically important for the justice department to hold him accountable for the insurrection and trying to overthrow our democracy, or it WILL happen again.
I liked the remakes of 2 and 3, and 4.
5 and 6 were fun to play co-op. I generally prefer third person games, which is why I haven’t played 7.
5 was over the top, and I like how in 6, there was a marked difference between playing as Ada, Leon vs the more action heavy Chris playthrough.
They could do another game like 6 but go harder with that concept of picking your play style.
