To them photographs are all made with fisheye lenses which is why only the earth looks round and distorted but fucking nothing else in the same frame.
It really is telling when people can’t get help without having to give money to mega corporations.
As an American usually that means they’re swamped and need the extra labor but aren’t willing to pay for another employee. Germany might be different in general but it could also depend on the company.
I was with a large organization as tech support and upper IT pushed out an update that corrupted everybody’s certificates to log into the network. Imagine having to talk 40k users, who most of them whined and bitched to us about having to do all this work to fix the computer, through a removal of the old certificate, reboot, get the new one after logging in with a backup account, rebooting again and verifying that they can log in. Each computer was about 20-40 minutes to get done. We only had about 50 of us working at peak hours. It took about 2 months of non stop calls to get them fixed.
Wouldn’t be surprised at all if they just randomly select a few customers every once in a while to raise their premiums.
They changed the lights here so that when one road goes red then it’ll wait 2-3 seconds for the cross traffic. Problem is that everybody knows this so it’s almost a guarantee that someone will run the red light. Usually it’s 3-4 if in busy areas. I’ve seen hundreds of times where our light will go green and still 3 more cars blow through. Which means that light has been red for them for a good 5 seconds. Longer than most yellow lights.
That’s probably why I don’t feel good at programming. I just don’t have “that project” I want to do yet so I’m stuck in tutorial hell where I can finish the tasks but tell me to go build a website and I’m lost on where to start. Odin Project at least forced me to start from scratch after a while, but it really shows just how bad my planning is to build something from the ground up.
Haha look how quirky and relatable that is. I can totally relate. Isn’t that super relatable to programmers? What funny.
Oh yeah for sure. It’s given me incorrect code before but I was able to recognize the issue and fix the error which was mostly a logic one.
I may do that already when I get stuck… Tbf I am trying to learn and only ask it to explain how to do something or if I have a bug I can’t figure out. I feel sometimes it’s just best to get an answer if I’ve been stuck for a while because I’m not making progress anyway.
I really don’t believe twitch is blocking Firefox. Check your add-ons, clear cookies, etc.
It took me a long time to start understanding MDN but now that I kind of have a feel for reading docs it’s a bit better although I still miss bits of info and sometimes struggle to understand the examples.
It’s what I do. MDN first, chatgpt second. Everything else is third.
Not as much money if they did that.
All I can find about their next game is called “In the Valley of Gods” which looks like it is still being developed. What game was cancelled? Also how is that the same as buying an IP then running it into the ground so their main IP can get a mildly popular game mode that will likely be forgotten about in a couple months? I’m already bored of rocket racing and I only installed it because a friend kept begging me to play fortnite zero build which I also don’t enjoy.
Epic bought rocket league and promptly tanked it in favor of their stupid fortniteverse. Maybe steam keeps winning because they’re not actively screwing over their customers.
I used to have a program called netlimiter (needed to throttle individual aop downloads on a shared WISP that was slow as balls). I bought a lifetime license like 10 years ago because I liked the software. A couple years ago they got rid of the old version and bumped me up to the new version. About a year ago I got an email saying something along the lines of “pay our new subscription fee or you lose your access” and basically put me on a trial account. I pirated their old version years ago to see if I liked the software enough after a couple months. I no longer use that software.
Another time I bought a lifetime access for a game on patreon. About 2 years later the dev switched to a subscription only fee to access all the new content and never released anything from updated versions to the older public release. So essentially I bumped down to a free tier of access to a game I paid for.
I will pirate until I die. Fuck these douchebags.
