I really like it here

Oh definitely, I find them very enjoyable to read. Took a short break after the first book, starting A Clash of Kings tomorrow. Thanks for the encouragement!
I’ve seen only NOT_RICHARD@lemmy.today post them. A two day account as well
Seems like the guy has dug up his USA bad folder
Saw the same thing twice on one of those “advertisements”. I guess it’s probably trolling and mostly lack of moderation
Why can’t we contribute just to have fun, why should there be some kind of an award? Besides, that’s just like the awards on Reddit and we know how well those work. The same one-liner under every post, flooded with awards.
This system just encourages farming and creates a hive mind mentality. Lemmy is great the way it is.
Go to your profile settings trough the site. There you’ll see a section for importing/exporting your subscriptions, just click on it and it should download a json file.
Thanks for the understanding and help 😊
There seems to a mistake saying that Threads is not blocked by lemmy.zip, when we defederated them months ago.
Same. It’s amazing how much time I have when the algorithm isn’t shoving me endless content, trying to keep me engaged.
Congratulations!
Well, there’s nothing wrong with having hope lol.
But as someone who just started reading the books, it’s a bit frustrating starting something I may not be able to ever finish.
There’s !asoiaf@lemmy.world but it’s somewhat inactive
The art style is really cute, looks great for a first project!
What’s the game you’re working on?
The devs said that they’re working on a new sorting method that pushes small communities up in the feed. I’m excited to see how it will work.
The API changes didn’t really have an effect on me since I had always used the official Reddit app, and only switched to Apollo a week before the blackout. The reason I left is because Reddit’s response was really out of touch and insulting to its users. After coming to the fediverse I realised just how horrible Reddit has become and I don’t plan on going back.
I’ve known for the lack of privacy online for a while but joining lemmy really made me change the way I browse the Internet. I switched to Firefox with unlock origin, started to use a password manager with randomly generated passwords and got more conscious about my internet habits overall.
I’m pretty attached to my username, sometimes people call me by it and I even have some nicknames originating from it. I use it in only four places, but I definitely feel it has become my default username as of recently.
They really are amazing. Glad to have you with us 😊
